Expanding on Soundwave's "Pirate Systems"

During some of the time in the studio during the tournament today, CCP Soundwave said something along the lines of Pirates being able to destroy I-Hubs as an idea, but didn't have much more to go on that. Right away my first thought for that was "what is the bane of low-sec pirates, that could go along with them taking over a system"

What I thought of right away with that, was gate/station guns. I'd sure as hell blow up an i-hub to get rid of sentry guns in my home system.

Yeah but then you'd have ceptors camping in low sec, probably not going to happen.

I wouldn't put too much stock in Soundwaves brainfarts after what he did to FW (and tried to do!) Evil

Lowsec in general needs a lot of work, complete with a "control" mechanism that allows not only income but the ability to restrict would-be interlopers (cynos). How/what/where is what it is all about ..

In short: Lowsec, outside FW areas, needs to be able to establish its own eco-sphere as it were. Until then all you accomplish is make life for griefers (95% of LS "pirates") easier or harder depending on suggestion without doing much to improve the area as a whole.
