In a risk VS reward game, why are the command ships and or T3 not on the battlefield ?

So they can be utilised by smaller entities versus larger ones. You can still probe them out and take them out of the fight that way.

Because the risk goes up to 9000, while the reward does not change?

Its remarkable how cyclical the whining on this forum is. One day its miners being ganked, the next its goons, the next its technitium, then its command ships.

Command ships are slow, poorly maneuvering ships that need to sacrifice survivability to their jobs on top of having a huge signature radius. If they were on grid they would die almost immediately. I'm sure you wouldn't have any difficultly probing them out given their massive signatures.

Neutral warfare link ships on the other hand are annoying in highsec warfare. It would be nice if they were flagged as aggressive if they turn on their links while in a fleet with members who are involved in a war.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

Do you see generals running around with rifles?

No, they sit somewhere safe and ... command.

And get ambushed by stealth bombers.

No, fleet commanders are typically on the battlefield with their fleet and in the thick of it with everyone else.

Should really be allowed to run Gang Links inside a pos imo either.

Off-grid boosting only appeals to "solo" PvPers who insist on having an off-grid tengu and loki boosting them before they'll take on that roaming Wolf while flying a Myrmidon.

if you're dealing with some guy with off-grid boosters and falcon alts and all that nonsense, call some friends in

i hear playing this multiplayer game with other players grants you an inherent advantage over others

npc alts have no opinions worth consideration

Wouldn't that be a legion and loki?

Why not include a proteus to boost the falcons?

You can't boost from inside a station, or from another system. The grid is not the battlefield.

Not saying I agree with off-grid boosting, I welcomed happily the destruction of unprobable T3's. But your argument is unfortunately not sound.

Yep, this happens far more often than you'd think.

This is usually what bomber wings are doing before lining up a proper bomb run on the hostile fleet.

there are 2 basic types of command ship... the Fleet Command (the big Booster) and the Field command(the big damage). just depends on the play style of the people your going against or are with.
