POS removal takes a lot of effort on behalf of a lot of players involved.

Since it's a highsec POS, it requires a wardec which are not cheap. A wardec gives said corporation 24 hours notice before it commences in which time they can easily take down the POS or dec shield and shed the wardec.

On top of that, the tower will most likely go into reinforce mode when shields drop to 25%. That throws on even more time for the POS owners to evacuate what they need out.

Since a prior CSM member is involved, it's a reasonably safe bet that this is not their first rodeo. They know what's up, they know the game, and they know the limitations wardec's have in highsec.

You better be ready to pony up on payment for mercs. This sort of operation is not cheap. You're looking at several billion in costs paid upfront for a professional mercenary corp.

You might be able to find an amateur merc corp or one that's just starting out and needs to build a strong reputation. They might be willing to work Pro Bono but they will need compensation for the wardec costs and any losses they might incur.

Are you willing to pay up for the cost of mercs? Or are you willing to cut your losses and go home?

Hi-Sec also means restricted use of Capitals. No dreadnaughts would prolong the siege by quite a bit.

I can tell you, the Angry Baby Seals will have it down within a week.
Either through BS's grinding it down, or through an act of cowardice where they pull it down before the dec starts... it will come down.

You must not have been keeping up with the patch notes. Dec Shielding no longer works, unless you mean shielded by 20 allys.
