Salvage Drones?

I had heard rumors (and think I heard a CCP video mention) of salvage drones. Although I don't see them on the current patch, do they appear to be on the horizon?

Kind of irrelevant with current drone bay capacities, unless they make the drones have almost no mass.

Guess you mean bandwidth / size(m3) ?

But if those drones were coming .. they would basicly benefit the big dronebay gallantes and certain minnie/amarr ships ... caldaris would be essentially getting the short end thats to the puny dronebays.

Huh? I fly a cruiser class with a 400m3 drone bay....not enough?

There was a presentation showing whats coming which had salvage drones in them.

I dont think they will take more space than the mining drones do ....

CCP to add salvage drones because tractoring the wreck to you to loot it is USELESS now that nohting drops.

With salvage drones, you could pick your form of Judaism while flying logis -- warrior IIs for killmail whoring, or salvage drones for more money.

Salvage drones would work only if they could be set on aggressive/engage target and salvage the closest item posible auto.
Can you say bathroom break between missions.

Judaism is a religion not a race.

+1 for salvage dones that auto loot **** for you... cos its too hard to fit a tractor.

The only NPCs that currently have no loot after killing are rogue drones that do not drop those annoying, and AFAIK completely useless, drone AI things. Hell, I did a level 2 or 3 mission the other day for some rinky-dink R&D corporation and got an implant with an estimated value of 22m or so from one of the wrecks. Seems to me like stuff, and valuable stuff at that, still drops.
