Those some probably like to juggle three target painters, swap ammo types, count torpedo volleys and direct a flight of drones at the same time. And being locked into a single choice of rigs, and having a short-ranged weapon and a ship that's slow like most of the other Caldari ships.

The Golem is beaten hands down by ships like Vargur, Machariel, Tengu and CNR.

1250-1300 is the dps you'll achieve in a sentry domi fit actually fielding Sentries (not skewing numbers with Ogres) have decent drone control range(81-84km) and an ok tank not using crystals

1) I use ogres because I prefer them to sentries most of the time; I like the option of moving around while I shoot things. People get way too obsessed over using sentries for my taste. If it really bothers you that much I could post another picture with a set of gardes (where the damage goes down by a whopping 25 DPS)

2)The ~50km range with drones is plenty since most of the time the rats you'll use these in are within that range anyway.

3)Please share your 1300 DPS fit that includes a viable tank, multiple omni links, and the loss of a gun for a drone link augmentor

I don't know what was the line of thinking behind crippling Vargur so hard that it cant fit 1400mm without 2pg mods it seems silly other Marauders don't have an issue of fitting long range guns.

Other than that i don't see much of an issue rly they cant and shouldn't be compared with faction battleships.dose ships are strictly bonused for raw dmg and application of the same ,while marauders are almost there and have spare utility highs that i personally don't use for salvaging i do have tractor beam.

Main disadvantage is one less rig slot and that coupled with low re3zistane to jam rly make them not worth skill points needed for them.

the two fed navy omnies really help the drones. and i find i need the drone link augmentor on many missions.. dread pirate and angel extra are two where it reaaaally helps .. yes i know angels come close fast but it is nice taking out those missile turrets asap.
