Microsoft once tried to turn a simple point and click interface into a personal environment... it failed horribly.

They called it Microsoft BoB... decades later... CCP also received a poor response to a nearly identical product... some ideas are just bad =P

Meh, EVE doesn't force you to use that interface though... thankfully. It's there if you want it. I'm sure there are some who like it.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

You could still pull up the regular interface, all that really changed was you can now spin your ship again instead of looking at a picture of a door.

Indeed. The graphics are too detailed and cluttered, making it hard to see where stuff is.

Using a dollar sign to have your own little cry about Microsoft is so 1990s.

Referring to microsoft as M$ these days is like referring to Apple as that unique little garage company that makes candy coloured computers

Or Coca-Cola as an up-and-comer in the beverage industry

Copine Callmeknau disappeared one day now we are left with Taurich Vorsel AKA BIZARRO COPE!

crying about crybabies Lol

(I have the sneaky suspicion that M$ originated as some sort of pun on Microsoft BASIC [names of string variables have to end in $ in BASIC and one character variable names like A$, B$, ... were very common], on the other hand people found reasons to call Microsoft greedy ever since the Open Letter - in any case the acronym is much older than the nineties)

ONLY because players kicked and screamed about it until they put the old station environment back in. The first incarna release did not give you the option of not loading the "captain's quarters".
