GoonWaffe is for SA.
GoonSwarm have pubbie corps.
Pubbie corps accept J4G's and other players they believe not to be obvious spies all the time.

Spies they also let join, and they get to move their expensive ships to VFK.

There needs to be a link to the parable of the Frog and the Scorpion along with that "Goons 'R Helpful" link.

Bring your possibles.

I think a newbie accepting a Goonfleet invite (after they pay the 500m isk application fee) is a VERY educational process for the newbie.

In a fight vs goons, generally, just looking at the killmail of a goon you just toasted you will learn a lot about a vital part of PvP fighting, (at least for nullsec PvP) which is fitting your ship correctly. An astute observer will note that barring meta-levels and utility highs, goon ship fittings for particular ships will be almost exactly the same. Goons are strongly encouraged to fly standardised fittings for gangs and this is because these are intelligent fittings to use, fittings which have proven their worth and are worthy of generous reimbursement. Ill-conceived or frankly ******** fittings for certain ships are denied reimbursement and every lossmail of goons is looked over by a ~team of experts~. Of course this doesn't mean that one has to fly a certain fitting for their special snowflake cynabal or dramiel, but the fit has to make sense and you have to get the most out of the fit. This is why we generally laugh at most pubbies' fittings for their ships. A lot of the time they're either complete overkill and destined to be ganked by 50 rifters or they're missing high/mid/low slots for some bizarre reason.

The private goon wiki has multiple pvp fittings (far better than EVE uni fittings) for every ship with a brief note on what it's good (and bad) for. Pubbies are simply maddened with jealously, knowing that they will never have access to the Akashic Records of EVE that so many goon newbies have access to, (and never achieve enlightenment with) because they passed the reading comprehension test.

A lot of the pages are only accessible by logging in, and when I tried to log in it said the special page doesn't exist.
Meh, whatever.

somehow the arcane secrets of the goon wiki seem to make it into the search results for almost any eve-related google query not just through one but through two different site mirrors...

(the goon wiki is a great example for a very well maintained wiki - much in contrast to the test wiki which, after some half-finished attempts at restructuring the organization system for guides, features a lot of "lost" pages that are not linked from any location a reader is likely to find, broken links and once useful pages that were temporarily deleted but never rewritten for some reason)

Buck up champ, we forced Nulli out of null-sec and into your faction. They're pretty good.

Just to clarify.

Endless isk from a broken Moon-goo update ran Nulli out of 0.0. Please don't harbor the thought that skill or capability had anything to do with it.
If you actually had to fight with the possibiliy of losing ships and not having the isk to replace them...you'd still be hiding in some dark corner of EvE. Cool

Look at this guy knowing nothing about our history.

You asked me once, what was in Room 101. I told you that you knew the answer already. Everyone knows it. The thing that is in Room 101 is the worst thing in the world.

I hear you are bad at auth and at logging in to the proper site before going to the wiki?

Also the test wiki is bad because test is too lazy to to update theirs when they can just use the goonwiki.

Actually, Goonswarm is one of the most new player friendly, and most helpful alliances out there. IFF you join through the appropriate channels. They have a very useful, publicly available wiki, and have many instructional videos on youtube.

Historically speaking, while other alliances would shun newer players, Goonswarm would embrace their newer players. The trick is actually joining them.

just to clarify

we were poor for most of our existence and were never rich until after Delve II

then we were poor again after we went back to Syndicate

and we're rich again

Today I noticed for the first time the little icon in the launcher saying: "Player Organisations - Helpful Corps ingame"

Man, had I a laugh when i saw goonswarm in this list as well... That's pretty bad for new players isn't it CCP? I mean i always find the ZOMG GOONSWARM STOLE MY SECURITY DEPOSIT threads funny and everyone who doesn't 0 research does deserve it, but a newer player may trust (I know, right?) an official "Helpful Corps" list... especially coming from CCP...

So CCP please for the love of noob delete them from the list.

Roll

Umm they are 100x more helpful than the eve-unibears.

The filthy Goonswarm masses are really scraping the bottom of the barrel if they think anyone here really cares enough to think they're relevant still.

The very fact that you obviously care enough to post your unabashed bitterness right here for all to see indicates that they are probably correct.

I have to go through goonfleet auth? What a convoluted system just to use a wiki.
