How do you guys put up with the day to day grind? You know, the days where you've run the same bets, incursion sites, or market trade thing and nothing exciting happens. How do you guys deal with the slow times?

I don't. That's why I don't play WoW.

do something else, or the same thing with a new ship. even if your wasting time. i was thinking about grinding lvl 1 or 2 missions in an assault frig, frigs are more fun, sure i'l make like no money, but who cares.

also, u can try pvp take a rifter or other frig, and try to kill someone in lowsec.

If something starts to feel like work, stop it and do something else.

If you feel that there is nothing to do, withdraw x amount of iskies from your wallet and promise to use them for something you wouldn't normally even think about. Spend 'em recklessly, enjoy and gain something to think about till your next reckless day.

...and if Eve really starts to wear you down - there is always these lovely forums to CCP Phantom in :)

Think out of the box. Make things exciting for yourself.
It is an art has been forgotten for some years, but the options to do so are still there. Be creative. Don't follow mainstream.

I wouldn't mind a nice grind.. Oh wait you mean something else. I'd suggest trying to make isk in a way tha isn't such a grind. Doing something that is fun usually takes the grindness out of it. Maybe just looking at the grind in a different light. Talking with others while doing it usually helps...

I guess I'm trying to say what Aidan Brooder just said.

I feel almost as constructive as a mitten. I don't feel so bad now after seeing his post. I set my standards way too high.

Stop thinking that "making ISK" is the goal of this game.

For an unknown reason its a very common point of view (sadly). I'm not saying that virtual money is useless or irrelevant, but there are more important things, like, for example, maybe? ENJOY the game.

Not unless you want to grind — missioning and mining is entirely optional.

^^ This.
Sure, there are grinds if you want to grind (unsurprisingly — sandbox and all that), but then that's your choice, and not something you can really complaint about. Don't want to grind? Then don't.

I don't grind, It's that simple.

Log in, decide on ship - go out and get blown up or blow someone else up.
Hmm not many people online, grab scanning ship look for interesting sites.
Hmm, nothing interesting - grab ship and try and get into high sec and gank a miner before the police get me.
Hmm, broke - I wonder if I'm any good at scamming (I'm not Cry )
etc etc

You should never grind. Always do something fun. If you feel bored spend all your isk on something you'd never fly. Use ships that are to small to do the missions (frigs for level 2/3, Cruisers/bc for level 4 etc). Go **** talk someone about your awesome parrot petting skills and shoot them in the face. Chase a hauler down lowsec and try and kill it. Suicide gank miners and haulers, go fly around a stealth bomber looking for stuff to asplode. Enter random wormholes for no other reason then looking at the pretties then blowing up the inhabitants.

Have fun, it's a game. Be free like the solar winds.

When i get bored of missions i take myself and whoever is on in my corporation and go troll low-sec, we spend a couple of hours frustrating local probers by bouncing around the system avoiding their probes, then we randomly jump into them and attack. So far it's been zero for three so far, but meh it's fun and we're learning.

I just diversify myself. I'm an industrialist, I build stuff.. when I feel bored hauling minerals and parts to build stuff, I go look to do something else while the current stuff is running.

I do exploration, harvesting gas and such, which when I have a nice amount goes into my POS for a little extra isk. ( the POS itself is more or less running par with fuel costs vs moongold, so I can do stuff in it to experiment with other parts of eve that require POSses )

Sometimes I grab my mission boat and do a few missions, or I grab my AF or Dramiel and do some level 1s or 2s. Frigs are much more fun to fly in general than big ships. Technicly, I have a couple of BSses, but I never use them.

Another fun activity is going to Jita and reading the contract scams and 'spot the scam' bit.
Or I go shopping for Bargains. Got a nice Tengu cheaply yesterday.. I can't fly it.. and I don't plan on learning anytime soon, but it's nice to pick up a bargain. Already got a buyer set up for the thing, with a nice tidy profit.

Ice Mining in gallente space is now also a less than boring activity as you have to keep an eye on local for goons, and dodge em if/when they show up.

Hauling PI from nullsec filled with reds is also always something interesting to do. ( unless they've been properly trained to not try and attack you as they know they can't catch you, but it's always fun to have them try )

Just do what you feel like doing at the moment when you log on. If it's boring, don't do it, unless you feel like doing it.

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?
