Everyday when you make another 20MB patch I'm unable to play this wonderful game you've created.

Why? because your download server is completely screwed. you'd have to wait a day or so, to even be able to down from it, is this from an overload of people downloading? who knows, but that's no excuse, there's hundreds of alternative hosts you, as a company are welcome to use.

Some players, including myself cannot update our game because of your launcher and in game download always ends up downloading it corrupted, so I'm Forced to download from your alternative thread. Not only do I find this annoying, especially when I've never had issues with any other game (oh and I've played a few), but I'd like to ask you for a couple of things which are honestly not rocket science.

I ask kindly of you.

Please do not wait a couple of hours to upload the new patch for alternative downloads, remember not "everyone" can download from you're launchers and you're treating these customers, that not only love your game but continues to play with the patching issues, like crap when you decided to wait extra long while our mates are sitting in game minutes after..

Please use 3rd party download host services, perhaps use multiple, some players do this strait after a patch cause they're aware of the fact that others cannot download from you, but they should't have to in the first place.

did I mention get a 3rd party download host!?

Please take this into consideration and show some understanding for the current issues, that some of us players are experiencing Every time You Patch.

CCP uses a CDN called Level 3 so your problems are most likely not caused by anything within CCPs remit. The problem is most likely with your machine and your setup (internet connection). Check your firewall, router or ISP. If you have a bad connection to the Level 3 CDN you should ask your ISP why that is.

I made sure to write specifically that this is not on my side, to avoid the kinds of replies.

I've ruled out that option by checking and double checking every fix that could possibly be the cause, not only that I can download another file 100mb in a minute.

Therefore, as much as people believe, it's not a local issue.

Then you're out of luck, simply because you're stubborn.

Allow me to spell it out for you again:

- You/your ISP seems to be having issues with the Level 3 CDN. Go ask your ISP for help.
- CCP does not control the CDN speed or your internet connection.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about so your claim of "double checking every fix" doesn't assure me and shouldn't assure anyone else of your competence in this area.

The internet isn't located in one place, it is distributed all over the world and therefore connection quality will be different depending on what you're trying to access. Just because you can download a 100 MB file in a minute somewhere, doesn't mean you can, or even should be able to, do that everywhere else.

Now go fix your problem and stop blaming others for your own problems.

*sigh* regardless of how tempted I am, I'm not gonna bother to spell out how the network works and every change and process I went though to try and fix it "on my side".

The fact is, I'm not the only one with this problem, I'm aware the game and it's launcher works fine for the majority of you people and that's great. But let's not make assumptions to quick shall we?

I'd like CCP to show some caring and explain what could be the cause of this, not the *derp check modem* solutions.. but an actual reason why, I and many others are incapable of not only using your damn launcher (corrupt downloads) but can't even download from your very own file host.

any other reply who's not trying to help but rather interested in increasing their ego with a smart ass comment, I will consider a free bump, thank you.

For people or especially CCP who wants to help, you're more than welcome.

The problem you have is that none of us are having this issue, which can only mean one thing, but you don't want to hear that, so you are basically screwed.

Even a sandbox has borders to keep the sand inside...

I understand how people, who got everything running fine can assume it be the same for everyone else, but it's not.

And so on... The thing is, most players don't use the forums, it's more like 5% of the community (open for opinions), so seeing 5 people complain might not seem like a big deal and for the majorities it aint.

What about us who are unable to patch our game, just ignore these people since it works all right for everyone else?

That's not very nice. I'm surprised a CCP mod haven't even replied yet to this thread, not a single attempt of any kind of help.

Also, this isn't a customer support forum. Much like everything else in the world you have also misunderstood the point of this forum.

To contact customer support you will have to file a petition.

Edit: Yeah... those threads you posted about people with the same problem as you, they are not the same. Stop fooling yourself.

As for your comments, I have a hard time telling if you're trolling or just err less educated.

May I add, this part of the forum is focused on "Issues, Workarounds & Localization", which is Exactly what I'm looking for.

I've still got the issue and if you visit the the alternative download thread, you'd see I'm not alone, regardless of how many have the issues, CCP got a paying customer at their doorstep looking for advice and help to this problem, but no one has even peaked outside the door.

NO Replies from any CCP, VERY disappointing, not even an attempt of help, even if unsuccessful would at least show the guts to try, but no.

Sure, I'm just a single customer, me cancelling my sub would't be a big hit at all, I'm sure. However it's the principle that stands and gives you reputation.

I was very surprised when I saw a GM tried to contact me in game for advice etc, never seen that before, +1 to that GM.

But I guess forums mods behave different and prefer spending their time in the best looking avatar threads.

Anyway enough rant from me, I'm not looking to renew my subscription again any time soon as it's currently going.

I know, bla bla won't be missed yadayada, have heard it before don't bother.

Good game CCP, very well made and nice to see you update it, but forum mod activity, definitely not a plus and your way of handling updates, not very professionally.
