* posting with an alt as the following revelations may upset certain people that owe me lots of lovely iskies.

I've been a massive carebear for years and in all that time I've only ever killed one other player, and that was an accident during a 1v1 in-corp 'thing'.

Lately, years of mining and missioning have been wearing heavily on me, so over the past 6 months I've been training a PVP focused alt on a separate account in the vain hope that I might, one day, break the chains of gay and pull the trigger on something that isn't a little red cross.

A few weeks back I mission crashed for the first time and successfully managed to burn a faction BS who gifted me with many isks of loot and a stream of abuse far too explicit to post here. Whilst I realise this isn't strictly PVP, it still got me nicely excited about the game again, which is what I wanted!

The following day I was out scanning around in my covvie, and I noticed that Mr Potty-Mouth had a faction POS in system which was off line. The following day I went back to the bookmark and saw that Mr Potty-Mouth had onlined the POS to unanchor the defensive mods. Not having seen this done before, I was genuinely curious and sat there watching with interest. After several trips back to the station, he started to offline the POS again and shortly thereafter all that remained was his Itty V and the tower... and me.

15 minutes later... he's still there... and so is the POS... and I'm thinking... can I grab that?

I quickly logged my hauler alt on whilst closing cloaked on the tower and within a minute it was on it's way back to the station.

The best part? Not the several billion isk injection that this guy's given me over the past few weeks, but the fact that he spent a full 2 hours warping back to his POS bookmark and the station because he couldn't work out wtf his POS had gone.

I'm now hooked on f*cking with people. So much so that I hardly log my bear on any more.

I blame everyone in here for encouraging me.

Out of curiosity, what kind of faction tower was it?

Heh I stole a pos ages ago, came across a hauler unachoring a pos in lowsec back when they took like hours to do anything with a POS anchor or unachoring them. I just showed up and popped the hauler as the pos finished unachoring and then scooped it up with my own hauler. Was pretty awesome. It's nice to know this sort of thing is still do able.

MASSIVE fun. Totally. These last few weeks have totally flipped the game on it's head for me.

I have a few questions though, that some of you less desirable types may be able to help with...

Firstly, I've crashed quite a few missions now and have only been able to successfully get two people to aggress. One I killed as mentioned in the op, and the other paid a handsome ransom (ooo... rhymes... I'm copyrighting that alt name right now). So essentially I'd like to know, from your experience, what's the best way to get mission runners to aggress after you turn flashy? I've tried insulting mothers, questioning sexual prowess, bumping and stealing everything of value and dropping it into a can next to them... no such luck.

Am I being too nice?

Secondly, are high sec deccing corps worth the hassle? Are there any really good ones with a steady stream of pew? I've chatted to a few and looked at their kb's and to be honest most of them seem to snag a few miners or haulers a week and that's it. Can anyone recommend someone?

In the meantime I've created a corp and wardecced a couple of indy corps - killed an Ibis yesterday. Woot.
