Hi Cerlestes, thanks for the great tool. I use it constantly. Big smile

I have a suggestion. I believe others have mentioned it, but In the ISK column we have the price per 1/M3 of Ore (probably useful to Mining Ops and ORCA pilots), but not:

  • Price per unit of Ore (useful for raw mineral traders. miners selling their Ore or haulers buying it).

If that change was made I'd never have to leave your site Smile. Currently I end up going between your site (speed and readability) and this Google Doc's spreadsheet (which contains a column called 'ore value').

Thanks again!

+1 for this, use this for my alt all the time.

Thanks Cerlestes.

kinda defeats the entire purpose of the tool when the isk values are wrong. for example right now in jita both buy and sell orders are below what you've got listed as jita price for megacyte.

You have to remember, this tool is only as accurate as Eve-central.com is, if eve-central is out, then so is this tool

While i would love is CCP exported the information of the basic trade hubs, right now it relys on use submissions, and as such might be out of date!

to be honest i've given up on the tool now, every time i check jita on my alt the price is way, way off. it's never close to the buy or sell orders in jita so i have no idea what it's being calculated from.

i suggest finding a more reliable source of information.

Is there any documentation that would help me use the index'es for a google doc spreadsheet. Im just learning how to do this and having a daily pull or whatever is a reasonable time to pull the information would be handy,.

Also maybe from the perspective of someone new to spreadsheets because i got into eve and now need to use them :P

thank you for such a great tool!

Thanks for the great tool.

A little typo in the Pyroxeres row. It's "Viscous" not "Vicious" pyroxeres. : )

Aww, I liked that typo. Not that I ever mine, but if I did I'd totally go for the vicious ones first.

These EVE tools need to be added to App store so I can browse them on iPadand update myself while at work, and have my plans ready in the afternoon.

The price shown is the 95th percentile of the entire value for the good, not the lowest sell order.

Cerlestes, might be worth noting the 95th percentile thing permanently and prominently, as some may have not caught your green information message when you switched the algorithm to that.

Whenever I take a break from EVE and want to come back your site is the first I visit. I don't know why but I do that every time. I guess it helps me to get a very broad overview of the market or something. Or maybe it's a sort of ritual :))

Still, one of the most useful EVE tool out there.

I also have issuse with Jita being alot higher for some ores, & even other ores being enough higher than Jita just a few jumps away!

How about adding filtering (by region drop down, or multi-select system if you can, or at minimum the hubs + avg like you are tracking now?
Also, how about a direct link from your chart row names to EVE-Central like so: Pyroxeres ?

First: Thanks for that awesome tool. Used it to maximize my incoming the last weeks :) Also the mining timer is cool.

But , I really must know, which prices you use for the charts and so on... Could it be, you use the sell orders instead of the buy orders? So that is quite confusing for people like me, who just want to sell their stuff and not making sell orders for it.

And that direct link to eve-central for ore, ice, and their refined materials would be awesome!

Love the tool... Thanks heaps, works a treat...

One suggestion I would make is to include the market volume in the Market Trends tab. Don't know if its possible from the eve central data though.

Would allow us to see the biggest movers and when someone decides to play silly buggers with mineral volumes...

Hey guys!

Thanks so much for the ideas posted in this thread. Let me go through them.

Quote:
It would be really nice to see the volume next to ore/ice

This is a great idea! I'll even add two choosable displays to the ISK column: "Value of one full ore batch" and "Value of one ore unit".

Quote:
Info for Hek

The upcoming version will enable you to choose from all regions and the top 10-ish trade hubs, which will of course include Hek and some others asked for.

Quote:
A table for gas mining

No. I finally made the decision not to add this, since it has nothing to do with refining. I'm working on another project tho, that will give you market-insight on gas too. (see three points below)

Quote:
Market price history for last 7, 30, 90 and 180 days.

The upcoming version will enable you to select these ranges, plus 360 and 720 days.

Quote:
Bulk Ore Prices, that is to say un-refined

Another great idea - going to be included in the upcoming version.

Let us add our own items to observe
would advanced moon materials be an option?

This won't be featured in the ore charts, but I'm working on the backbone for another project that'll do exactly this job. It will constantly suck in the current market data available in the EMDR network (EVE-Central, EVE Mon), and will feature not only 95th percentile, but a wide variety of values for any given moment of every item buyable in the market in every region and trade hub, with not more than 5 minutes delay. Sounds awesome? It is. But it still will take a lot of time in development, since we're talking about hundreds of gigabytes of data here, which is completely new to me (and probably most other programmers) and will be a real challenge. But I'm sure you'll see a first complete version around mid-2013.

Quote:
make sure the prices are accurate
How about adding filtering by region ... + avg

See above point. The next version will give you more control about accuracy in value and location.

Quote:

I don't exactly know what you mean. If you want to embed the ore table's data into a (google) spreadsheet, I don't think it's possible.

Hahaha. This made me laugh a lot. :) Thanks for spotting this hilarious typo!

Nope. I'm working on a mobile-firendly layout for the next version - but I can't promise that.

Yes. Currently, the 98th percentile of the sell prices is used and shown. As mentioned, this behaviour is going to be selectable.

Quote:
include the market volume

This was already mentioned and will be done.

Keep the ideas coming :) I really appreciate them.

PS: A big shout out goes to HanFox, who created a GreaseMonkey script for the Ore Table that makes the small market history graphs appear bigger. Thank you very much for this - this feature will appear in the upcoming new version.
