Covert Cyno question

Stupid simple question, I'd try it myself but I'm not done training for it and I'm getting impatient wanting to know......

Regular Cynos show up on overview and are a warpable point for anyone in the system.

Are Covert Cynos at all detectable?

I can't guess right if they are completely undetectable as the name would imply, or if they are visible but non-warpable as I could guess CCP would do just to make things........."interesting"............

If you're flying a Black Ops BS, then covert cynos will appear as beacons on your overview. Otherwise, they don't appear.

Last I checked, anyway.Smile

Everyone can see the cyno on overview ~if you're on the grid~. Cyno cannot be spotted out-of-grid, thus cannot be warped towards by any ship.

Needless to say, you'd have to be in the fleet to jumpdrive towards it from another system.

so could someone not in fleet warp to the covert cyno if they were cloaked and on grid?

They are visible and warpable from on the same grid, but not any other situation. The ship creating one is going to be decloaked, so a very lucky scan could catch one, but covert cynos have short durations and tend to be lit in safespots, so they are mostly safe.
