Ok so, Delve is proving to be rather expensive. I've only got 100mil isk to throw around and i was wondering if anyone had any good PvE ship fits that could be used to gain sufficient income to buy ships for the mess in Delve. I don't really care whether its anoms, plexes, or whatever, I just need something to get me off the ground.

So, anyone have any PvE ideas/ship fits that cost less than 100mil isk that will help me get enough money to be an active PvPer?

Edit: I would probably be doing PvE in my alliances home region, not in the middle of a warzone :p

With a low amount of money and if trying to make money in hostile space ratting in a stealth bomber is not a terrible idea they can apply good damage to BS sized rats while not being super expensive themselves and can do well not to get caught. Just my .02 isk.

Perhaps a BC of some variety or another?

100mil is not a lot and will not get you into anything that will help you do the more valuable sites easily. Not sure of your skills, but you will be shooting blood raiders (EM Damage), so lasers will do well. Apoc works well but costs more than a 100mil. Harby has range problems. Drake will do but will be slow. Raven shooting from range also works as you can snipe and don't need huge tank.

What can you fly and fit? (eveboard link would be ideal)

Dominix with sentries might be under 100mil. I currently use two domies remote shield boosted with sentries and no guns. It chews through anomalies pretty well.

"Enough money to become an active PvPer" - that would depend on your notion of "active PvPing".

What ships do you intend to fly? If it's just T1 Frigates/Cruisers/Battlecruiser - or maybe faction fit T3s?

If you in relatively safe territory (due to SOV, or large alliance coverage), you could just undock in any Battleship pretty much. 0.0 exploration sites are not much different than L4 missions in terms of difficulty.

Drake is your best bet at the price tag - upgrade to Tengu when you can - and you're all set.

a cloaky ishtar is nice or so i heard. your drones can deal up to 700 deeps and you are still relatively small and agile and do not need pimp tank.

edit: side question: can you cloak while your drones have aggro? like when you see reds warping on grid and you yourself have no rat aggro, can you just cloak up and slowboat away?

I should buy an Ishtar.

It was stupid of me to not include an eveboard link.

Here's my skillset (its not great):

http://eveboard.com/pilot/AtomicConnor

And for those who don't know, RAZOR's home region is Tenal, where the Guristas live

Well cant go wrong with a very simple drake to start off with. 20-30 days to fly this one and it will do till you get more isk and gain more skills.

Get yourself EFT (EVE FITTING TOOL) & EVEMON (SKILL PLANNER) and also look up "Rat damage EFT" in google and add them to EFT for rat specific stats. Hope thats helps. Null Sec is a crazy place to start off with but honestly after a few weeks you'll get the hang of it.

So if I were to save up for say, a Raven, and ran anoms in Tenal, that would be profitable?

As for what ships I intend to fly, for most ships, I just need to pay for insurance (I can get corp reimbursement if I loose a doctorine ship in a fleet) but I would also like to get some money to do some solo work in ships like a Pilgrim or Talos.

Your Raven wouldn't last long in null. As soon as someone found you...it would be over. Contrary to what some may tell you, even with a complete faction/deadspace tank, Ravens are soft. At least your Drake can take a beating and will apply better damage to frigates and destroyers.

I've tried ratting in Drakes and it isn't very profitable. It takes like 5 minutes to kill a single BS rat even with T2 launchers and all that. I don't see how you can make a living off that. Is it the hope that you'll get lucky and find a faction mod or officer rat?

I'm not saying the Drake is a great choice. Not at all. Your deeps will suck even with T2 launchers and ammo. I'm saying that based on your skills, it's the best balance of DPS and survivability.

TBH, if you only have 100M to spend...don't rat in null.

Raven works fine, warp in at range and align to station or pos and spam missiles. Need very little tank if you 70 Plus KM away.

I'm thinking more if someone shows up to gank. Sure, the rats pose little to no threat at Raven ranges (100km+), but other people showing up will be bad news.

The Gila is not the cheapest ships, but it will last a lot longer than a BC or BS will; since it is a cruiser you can quickly warp off to a safespot and cloak when hostiles in system.

Fit -

a cloak, a MWD, a set of 5 - heavy, sentry, medium, & Light combat drones. Then what ever else you want to fit.

Again not the cheapest ship, but it is one of the best ships for doing pve in nullsec.

if you can't get yourself warping when a neut appears in local.. you probably should stay in HS Blink
Once you hit LS or NULL, you should just assume everything you own is lost.. far less stressful.
