Caldari State for a Gallente fugitive

Hi guys,

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I created this thread here.

I'm a gallente with -3.5 standing with Caldari State. I spent a decent amount of time as a pilot in the Gallente Federal Navy (NPC Corp) but recently joined a corporation with interests in Caldari Space. As a result, I need to find a way to gain Caldari State standing.

I have tried:
Cosmos Missions -- I can only do the level 1 missions. The level 2 agents won't talk to me.
Data Centers -- I've turned in all that I can afford. Part of the problem here is that I'm broke.

Other than running L1 missions at my local station, does anyone know of another way to gain faction at least to a point where I can continue on with the cosmos missions?

Thanks for any advice you guys can give.

The Caldari State is not in a position at this time to accomodate those who have actively worked against our interests. If you wish to turn yourself in, proceed to the nearest Caldari space and await Caldari Naval forces.

Bug a member of your corp to allow you to tag along to run L4 missions (lots of them) to get your standings up FAR FAR quicker than running L1s. Rinse & repeat until the Caldari no longer hate you.

I'm positive there are other ways but tbh i'm too high to think of them.

Try the diplomacy skill. Works wonders for faction standings in that regard.

If you haven't trained diplomacy, that skill is enough to get you from where you are out of the hell of <=-1.00 standings, in which you're restricted to L1 missions in their space.

Sounds like I need to train diplomacy. Who would have figured these corporate slav.... er... caldari citizens.... *ahem* would respond to tact and decency. /shrug

No, but in all seriousness, thank you. I appreciate your quick responses, guys.

The tutorial missions give a standings boost as well IIRC

The Faction standing repair plan is always worth a read as well

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

-3.5 it's nothing, Calamari powlice will not do whatever to you unless -5.01, so just move there in some noob ship to be sure.

Also, -3.5 faction standing has nothing to do with Concord standing. Just saying

I realize that. This is not so much about getting concordukkened as much as helping my corporation with it's financial interests in caldari space. There are certain activities which require the corporation to have some amount of standing before they can be done. I have no idea what those activities are, but my corporation's officers have advised me to work on my CS standing asap, as my individual standing will have an impact on the corp's derived standing, and may impede those activities.

Most probably PoS. Also corporate trade used the corp standings to determine taxing.

This won't work.

As the OP stated, he is -3.5 with Caldari. This means that he can only do Level 1 mission until he gets back above -2.0 with the Caldari faction. Unfortunately, doing any level mission will only give him CORP standing increases. If a friend accepts a Level 4 mission and chooses to share the rewards when they turn it in, the OP will receive a portion of the LP, the ISK reward, and a standing increase with the Corp and Agent that gave out the mission. The only way to get FACTION standing increases from turning in a mission would be if the mission is a Storyline mission, and even then, only the person who accepted the mission gets the faction standing increase.

To gain Faction standing with Caldari, you should go to the locations of the Caldari and Amarr Tutorial Mission agents (3 locations in Caldari space and 3 located in amarr space). Tutorial missions (the 10-part ones) are considered storyline missions, so you can easily and quickly complete them and get a bit of faction standing. While you are doing those 36 missions ( 3 locations per faction X 6 missions per location X 2 factions), train Diplomacy which will raise your standing with any faction, corp, or agent that you have negative standing with. With Diplomacy trained to 3-4 and completion of the 36 Tutorial missions, you should be back above -2.0 (or close at least) at which time, you should tag along with your corpmates on some L4 missions to get your standing with that corp up to the point that you can access L4 agents yourself.

Once you are doing L4 missions of your own, then you will get storyline missions which will further correct/improve your faction standing with Caldari.

This is very informative and confirms a few suspicions I've had regarding mission sharing and standing with NPC corporations. Thank you ever so much, Souris. I'll set out on this at once.

Good advice.

Will use it to improve my - 3.01 standing with Gallente as I have moved back to my old Gallente territory.

Thanks.

By the way, the Faction Navy NPC's will attack at -5.00 and lower standing.

You can also run DED agents in caldari space, to find them you'll open your map and check "DED Agents" so you can find those sites and run missions for them.

All of those sites can be done in a simple Drake or if you only fly Gallente a good shield boosted arty Myrmidon will be able to blow up every site, just use a cap stable active tank and you'll be fine.

Search on Sakinainen and systems around, you have a lot of Caldari DED agents and this increases significantly your corporation/faction standing, but you can also change tags for standings on DATA CENTER DED sites.

EDIT: When you have enough standings to run lvl4's for Caldary Navy avoid running mission on big mission hubs, with recent changes to agents quality you can certainly find some CN lvl4 agent not far from where you are, work your social skills too can help.

If you haven't done it im a while go do the Sisters Of Eve Mission arc. You can do it is easily in a well fit destroyer. With Diplo4 I was able to adjust my -4.99 standing with Minmatar to -3.5 (or near that). But yeah, invest in Diplomacy skill to al teast 4 (takes just over a day to train).

Another option is to run Amarr missions if you can, the faction bonus from those will help your Caldari rating as well, but only at 80% speed) and you won't ever get Caldari faction missions working for Amarr that will hurt your standings.
