My unsolicited experiences thus far!

Started yesterday.

Ship got damaged. Figured it out by myself.

Got equipment I couldn't use. Figured it out by myself (both skills, appropriate slots and ammunition).

Couldn't find an area - asked in Rookie Chat.

Tutorials were a bit dull, but I used them when needed (the rest of the time I simply closed them, hoping that I wouldn't regret clicking "no" to continue later).

Now I'm approaching my first destroyer (waiting on Frigate level 3 to be trained).

First impressions - pretty darn good. :D

Now I'm just trying to plan how I want my character to evolve, stumbled across certificates and am working towards Calderi Soldier (Basic).

Will start looking for a Corporation once I'm more used to flying bigger and more destructive craft. Would like to say though, excellent community (at least in rookie chat).

So far so good. Smile

Meant to post this in the "first hour and experiences" thread. This can be closed, generally ignored, etc. Roll

The core certs are worth going for Smile

At least until you have a clue about what you're doing at least.

And try Evemon, it's a handy program for working out a training plan.

Woo! CSM XI!

Welcome.

Don't take from yellow cans, and every deal that seems to good to be true is a scam.

Have fun!

Welcome,

It's still a valid post. click through Auras little helps cuz she gives you stuff. So do the tutorial missions. Eve is made of stuff. Never turn it down when its free. Really free. Be cautious of contracts.

Corps can come at any time. A good corp with expierenced members can help you with ship fits and mission/combat basics and oh so much more.

Certs can be useful to help you see what is there. Dont get stuck on them.

Hey just a tip about the tutorials, there are more available if you press F12. You don't have to actually complete them, just click through the messages and most of them will give you skillbooks that are useful.
