If you ever see a forum post ask a question, it can probably be answered with "No."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betteridge's_Law_of_Headlines

Let's try this!

  • Are goons CCP's favorite alliance? No!
  • Should P2W be introduced? No!
  • Is EVE dying? No!
  • Are aux shield boosters overpowered? No!
  • Are TEST alliance getting good at pvp? NO!Lol

If no means yes does that mean yes means no or do no mean no? Yes?

Proving the exception to the rule, asking the question "is OP guilty of supplying skewed data to prove a ridiculous point?" yields the answer YES.

Let's see how well this theory holds up to reality:

  • 13 x PLEX Purchase ISHUKONE SHIRT --> 50 Cents *****? CCP Marketing Malpractice? No.
  • /signed

  • Somer Blink: Legit or Scam? No.
  • Say "no" to gambling or neither legit nor scam? I'll go with the latter one.

  • hello. is there anyone out there? No.
  • 42 replies indicate some compulsive alt-posting by that thread's OP.

  • Have you ever wondered if it was possible to bomb a capital ship? No.
  • I haven't wondered.

  • What is the avatar above you thinking? No.
  • that's a lot of negativity in that thread...

  • Taking a break, what continues and what ceases when subscription expires? No.
  • Taking breaks is not cool.

  • What would you say if you woke up to the Avatar above you in your bed? No!
  • yes.

  • So how about a round of applause for the "good" ones? No.
  • HTFU

  • If EvE had an olympics, would your event be? No.
  • No to EVE special olympics, please.

  • Why do you alt post? No.
  • I'm posting this on an alt What?

not too bad. wonder how well this approach translates into real-life conversations...

I call Godwin's Law on Betteridge's Law of Headlines.

Any headline ending in a question mark answered by the word 'no' will eventually lead to a discussion involving comparisons to Nazism in one form or another.

Heck, why stop there? (No!)

I invoke Moore's Law on Godwin-Betteridge's Law of Online Headlines Ending in Question Marks Answered by the Word 'No' Devolving Into Discussions Involving Comparisons to Nazism!

In effect, the rate at which this happens is doubling at a pace such that in not many years, the internet will be so fast, and discussions happening on the internet will take place with such a speed that any headline ending in a question mark will instantly be linked, through evidence and hyperbole, to Nazism.

If we take this one step further and apply Murphy's Law to the equation, we can safely say that a cat strapped to a buttered slice of toast dropped from any height will spin indefinitely at such a rate that it creates a singularity and collapses the internet in on itself, turning the world as we know it into a viral video about National-socialist Germany as an entity getting clocked in the face by an exercise ball.

So I guess all that remains is the question:
