The main problem here is that your comparing EVE to Western Earth Modern Culture.

What part of EVE is Western Civilization? We have the most powerful faction in EVE being religious god-fearing men who still condone with slavery. A tribal group of former slaves. A nation that focuses entirely on profit and everyone being useful and whatever the Gallente are.

However, you are too ethnocentric to even begin to think that a world where Earth's Western Society does not exist would have the exact same rules as Earth's Western Society.

actually all i'm stating is that pvpers act like paranoid dillusional psychotics working in a gun store, though i guess i really don't see even as much harm in that, but anyway i'm also saying that as a paying customer, which i am due to the outrageous shortage of isk for plex due to my exhumers being one shotted by bullies who have no one better to shoot, and as a paying customer i should have the choice whether or not to let a some coward with a gun to come in and shoot me point blank in my skull like some unsuspecting toddler

But you're not. You're a miner in space, mining ice to sell and to make a profit so you can buy more miners.

And anyone who is mining and had a brain would hear reports of miners getting attacked in ice belts in Gallente space would know that it might be a good time to dock up and pursue another occupation for the time being.

How may I drug you with drugs?

The thing you need to realize right now is that you chose to be that toddler.

Why do PvP'ers act like terrorists to others who dislike PvP?

it's unfair, childish, rude, and in reality crimially insane, is this a game or a terrorist training camp?

atleast let us set a PvP status, other games do it, and don't say that makes it less fun, what fun can come from picking on someone who doesn't wish to fight you, bullies the lot of you Pffft....

EVE was like this from the very beginning. As "carebears", WE are the ones stomping all over their PvP FFA Paradise. They act like that just because they can, and they are encouraged by the game mechanics.

Why do some people in real life become malicious hackers, thugs, or just bullies in general? It's just the dark side of human nature, don't take it personally. However I'd suggest this isn't a game for people with thin skins.

For even bringing up the subject you can expect to be trolled, taunted, and harrassed to no end. That's EVE for you.

…says the guy who's being persecuted by people who do not know who he is; the guy who cannot distinguish between game and reality; the guy who wants people dead for having fun and playing according to the rules; the guy who quite clearly invents his own reality without even bothering to base it on well-known facts.

Yeah, no. The problem here isn't that others are acting like paranoid delusional psychotics — it's that they don't act like you, which actually makes them rather normal compared to your paranoid and psychotic delusions.

Also, dammit, Malc, stop saying everything first! Evil

It's mostly just the forums, and the lol-PVP'ers you find outside the trade hubs. Go to low sec, and a lot of the players are OK guys. Less smack and more pew.

EVE does have two "I dont want to pvp buttons" fyi. One is called cloak and is installed on your ship, the other is called "dock" and is found in your overview in station systems.

oh so i am just supposed to run and hide without the ability to do anything at all but sit their and twiddle my thumbs for hours just because some slackers who don't want to earn their isk honestly decide to crowd a system and one shot anyone they can, you people really should be locked up

an you should be playing something else or nothing at all if you think in game behavior is reason to incarcerate someone

your logic is flawed there you assume everyone wants all of that, also you assume that other pvpers won't have anyone to kill if people can turn it of when actually you could just go after eachother and leave alone those who don't like violence, you're all terrorists plain and simple and no better that Osama in my book, an look where that got him, you all deserve his fate, but unfortuantely it's not my duty to carry out

You seem awfully eager to dish out punishment for someone who doesn't like violence...

Let's assume for a second that you can become immune to pvp.

- Players would use their invulnerable alts to follow enemy fleets and keep tabs on what they do.

- Losses would be severely limited -> without much need to replace things, the economy would collapse -> players wouldn't be able to earn anything anymore + severe inflation.

- The whole sov warfare thing (which is sort of the heart of the game) would become meaningless if anyone could make his home in YOUR home.

There would also be a lot other side effects.

You need to think more. They are ways to live wihout fear of being ganked, but they require some amount of common sense.
