Killing miners has nothing to do with it. CCP killed the flood of drone crap out of the drone regions. As expected mineral prices sky rocketed and it takes a LOT of mineral to build a Titan.

Not that it matter, enough tech ***** and they are still being build as fast as they can churn them out.

Yeah it did, you ever reprocess drone crap?

I used to build a couple megathrons a week out of drone crap I picked up missioning in hi-sec. Now imagine what a smartbombing carrier in a null sec scannable could knock down in an hour. Hulk eat your ******* heart out.

Oh yeah, not to mention that all of XiX's CSAAs are no more. Where did you think that the supers were coming from?

Seeing as how the death of a few miners hasn't really affected mineral prices all that much, whereas the removal of drone goo and T1 loot drops made the prices double… yes. Killing miners had nothing to do with it.

In fact, it was their irrelevance that was the entire problem and what made it necessary to remove the goo and drops.

Oh wait, hang on, you think it's a bad thing that supers cost twice as much?

Hell no it aint. Keep killing those miners! Kill more of them! Let's have a party when Titans hit the 200B mark!

Mining's new status as a (relatively) high-risk, high-income career will be attracting exactly the kind of people we hope to see engaging in it.

No complaining here.

1st, yes the drone mineral nerf had a large effect on that number (not going to say all of it because surely 1 miner rage quit after getting ganked)

and 2nd, whats with the dollar signs? OP IS AN RMTer!

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

I agree, there are many reasons that prices are up, speculation, manipulation and nerfs oh my; but hunting miners that never read the forums can't be good for market quantities of mins.

This just in:

Highsec miners are whining with unwarranted self importance thinking that it was they, not the RMT Russians they kept mineral prices so low.

Also in other news. Nullsec Titan builders rejoice.

I think the OP is vastly, vastly underestimating the shear scope of the minerals that came from the Drone Regions.

Good. I always thought they were far too easy to build anyway. A shame they don't require more minerals, just that the minerals are more expensive. It's nice having battleships cost about 200mil, a shame they're not better than they are at the moment

Um what? Battleships are pretty good at the moment. Maybe the Raven could use a little fittings love for PvP viability, and yeah Cruise Missiles need a rework, but apart from that, the whole T1 BS range is looking pretty good to me.

The best part is that mining still isn't a viable source of income compared to other ways of making isk.
