That does look like a pretty sweet engine, and I would love to have atmospheric flight!

They were working on it a while back and even presented one at a fanfest.

Fanfest Atmospheric flight

It would be very interesting to see this incorporated with DUST.

That looks a HELL of a lot like ViewTerra/VWorld.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

It's impressive, but how would it make Eve better?

Atmospheric Flight cannot happen in Eve any more. It's been shut off as an option for every moment DUST exists and the whole "Yo, Tritanium in Atmosphere = Nono" lore stands.

It's a dead wish, just deal with it guys. There's no way Atmos flight and DUST can co-exist.

actually this is a fake athmospheric flight as it gets, what actually happens there is that they load a planetary like background (just like the vortex tornados in the nebula in that one mission) when he enters that spot, its all just background and nothing you could interact with.

luckily out ships are made out of more than just trit and in alloy form trit works fine in atmosphere \o/

and orbital bombardment is no fun, I wanna go on strafing runs!
