should super highways have tolls?

think of it like the new jersey turn pike if you want to use you need to pay a toll...

same thing should be for superhighways in eve...

discuss...

First they would have to build Super Highways. Right now they only have the standard gate network and those systems would be stupid to allow that. If everyone had to pay to get in or be inconvenienced by another route the last tolls paid would be the freighters heading out to setup a new trade hub in eager systems with the infrastructure (Stations) and the brains not to drive away 50 trillion ISK in Business with over taxation.

Now build me a Jump Catapult that lets me skip 10 systems and put a price to enter and sure superhighway it is.

I feel like you haven't thought this through.

what would be the point of it? its not like you are paying to maintain the eve gates so it would just a an isk sink that will either be too much and people will go alternative routes or be to little and just be an annoying pointless feature.

I can't see what benefit to gameplay this feature would bring.

yes back in the day just before i started to play yuli was the main system not jita due to how the gate network worked... but then then fiddled with it and made it so you could go from high sec region to high sec...

i say sure but have a levy... infact make it mass for it too... you can still choose to go but it would cost similar to using liquid ozone in a jb...

might get some more people to brave low sec or team up and play coop instead of solo...

They should construct superhighways between remote systems far from any trade hub, might see some interesting things being done.

Would be nice, but the gate camping would probably be out of control making the gates impassable.

Come out west where your freeways are taxpayer funded.

They can build more 'super highways' in Eve off of what the NPC corps charge in tax already. Or increase from 11% to 13% to cover it....

If you thinks major pipes should be tolled, you have the tools to do it in-game.

You need to attach retractable 'legs' to your car akin to those robots in Star Wars and then you don't need to pay tolls.

can I get a little tag for my ship so I do not even need to exit warp to use the toll gates? it works for EZ-Pass.

EVE is like swimming on a beach in shark infested waters,  There is however a catch...  The EVE Beach you also have to wonder which fellow swimmer will try and eat you before the sharks.

No, because the transmitter electronics would have to operate on extremely high frequencies and those were banned by the Space EPA as harmful to the whales.

Not sure about tolls but they need more toilets, the last one was quite a few light years back.
