Check out youtube, gw2guruforums for all the info.

Really worth taking a look at if your looking for a different type of MMO with new technology and new ideas or new "philosophy" around what MMO's should be.

I already pre purchased, been waiting for years for this game. :)

Doesn't look like an interesting game from my personal point of view, but somewhat interesting from an industry POV. If they can deliver on most of their promises, it becomes increasingly hard to justify paying a sub for a substandard and mediocre MMOs. It'll be nice to see how they fare up against other recent releases like SWTOR and RIFT in long term profitability.

Finally a game that doesn't copy wow. It's more like DOTA if any it's coping. but I'm ok with this : )

yay for real hit detection and dodging!

also considering guildwars 1 had 7-8 million sales, it allready was up there with wow as far as players, was free to play before that **** was popular.

Pretty much yeah, even now GW1 is still really popular and played a heck of alot, I still play it every week and almost all the towns and outposts are full of players after seven years. GW2 has also already won crap loads of awards for best this and that when it has not even been released yet, that's just based on demo's and beta gameplay. It reached over a million for registered closed beta players, now you can pre purchase but noone has the numbers yet on how many have bought the game already. My guess atleast 1-2 million+.

It will definetly be popular, they had to double there servers for the 2nd beta weekend, looks like it will run on all sorts of machines too since beta was not optimized and players reported they could run it on high settings with a few things switched off with medium end and lower end machines. Arena Net even said they ordered old graphics cards off ebay not sold anymore to test the game fully and optimize it as much as possible lol. The game engine is really well done, can't wait to see how it looks and runs when it uses all of GPU instead of just CPU.

Also the worst thing in GW1 was lack of a decent trading system and market system, was pure painfull to sell or buy anything, in GW2 they have fully functional trading outpost market system which is similar to eve online but more basic and simplified, you can put up buy order / bids / sell orders / bids, and just walk away, you can do this from anywhere with any of your items you only have to go back to the trading outpost to pick up what you buy. Everything else is done remotely. Its an awesome system tested it in beta and made selling and buying sooooooooooooo much easier.
