Well I returned to EVE after a 5 long months been away because I got invite to WoW. Now I extended EVE for 1 month but would like to know some stuff :)

Can the EVE economy crash or inflate? like having stuff hard to get or market prices in Jita going sky high?

Doubtfully, CCP would probably step in at some point. But I'm sure there's some analyze of this in the MD forum.

Yes. But goons would never let it crash. Only make it go higher!

If plex prices got to high then CCP usually seed the market to bring the price back down. At least thats what they have done in the past.

Sure, it's able to, but it would require some pretty spectacular bugs and exploits to make it happen — on its own, it's grown large and dynamic enough to be very self-righting. You can still have bubbles of various kinds, but those aren't all that troublesome on the whole since diversification is very easy and universally available.

Hardly. Products in eve is mostly related to activity (be it for minerals, isk, loot, ice, T3 components, gas, and **** know what else), which means an increase in the price of this product will translate in an increase in the activity that produce it.
As far as I know, there are 2 things that have a ceiling of production:
-PI products, but there is a huge margin before every character of every player got a PI chain set up.
-Moon products.

Now it is possible to cause inflation/depression without touching the production itself. For instance, shooting freighters in jita for a weekend will cause half of the trade there to stop and increase the prices indexs here. Or shooting hulks for months in highsec will cause tritanium and pyerite prices to double.

ehm, doesn't the market prices inflate all the time? Check the prices of the beloved drake, whne I started it was 20m isk, now it's 60? and sure enough the markets of production material doesn't inflate since they go up up but for all the beloved mission runners they still earn the same money, or have the bounties gone up on rats during the years?

I don't think anyone's found any convincing evidence (or justification) for CCP seeding the PLEX market. They do tend to put on PLEX sales when prices spike, which has a similar effect, but it's not seeding the market.

The absolute majority of eve business is made with real money, money that the buyer has. The lack of loans, credit cards, and banks that leverage on loans make the economy of eve way more robust than real world economy.

YES, stop supplying tech to jita markets and only use it for in-allaince shipbuilding, than sell those ships with 200% markups from todays prices....

The plex has been brought up the market so CCP can indirect influence pressure on it. This way they can increase or decrease the isk vs 30d gametime value without getting shitrolled about increasing their prices. Now ppl got no-one to blaim... as ccp doesnt manipulates right?

If relativity equals time plus momentum, what equals relativity, if the momentum is minus to the time?

Why would CCP particularly care about the price that PLEX fetches on the market?

For a (mainly) closed economic system Eve is doing OK. Incursions injected a bit too much isk for a while, recent changes in mineral acquisition have increased prices but that's manageable.

There's steady inflation, economic system could use a few more isk-sinks but its not too bad.

As long as you don't keep most of your isk as isk then you can just forget about most of the inflationary pressures. If your isk is in a reasonable spread of assets (ships/modules/ammo/minerals/etc - edit and characters) then your "buying power" should remain more or less constant. Leave it in isk and its worth less every second.

Can the economy be crashed in certain items/markets/regions - yes but not for very long.

Can the entire economy be crashed - yes but for an even shorter period.

Eve may be full of swindlers, thieves and scammers, but at least it doesn't have the criminal banking elite that the real world has.

As an Icelandic company, CCP understands this all too well.

We - along with some timely help through the removal of drone alloys - have pushed the eve economy into a severe recession.
