Sorry to say but true. Some guy in a rattlesnake finally went down in the last few seconds of the match and they completely ignored it talking some bs nd not what was happening. Been underwhelmed tbh.

Agreed, the talk should be about the fight not about pictures on walls or mustaches.... while amusing chat im sure it was just the wrong time, chat like that should be for intermissions or if nothing at all is happening. A lot of action completly ignored, the guys on before were 10 times better.

completely agree with OP. the fights have been pretty fun to watch, but the commentary is amateur.

Today and yesterday were the first Alliance Tournament fights I've watched. While the commentary is ok, it does seem to get a little off focus at times for such short battles.
When it's just one guy in a Merlin kiting his way around until the time is up, I can understand commentary getting off course a bit, but during the main body of the fights it did seem to lose focus at times.
Commentary during the last match (between Godfathers and some other alliance) was humorous, but only because one of the commentators seemed to be a member of the losing alliance.

Still, the tournament is a lot more interesting that I thought it would be. I'm learning a bit about various ship types that I've not considered flying before.

Whats even more funny is that when we are training on Sisi Test server they are using locater agents to follow us around and even had the balls to scan us as we undocked to see what modules we are using.
As for Bolton's comments about us leaving Fountain just for the record we are on a road trip and its not because of anything they have done... and you never know our next stop might be to drop in to see our good friends in Hun and Nulli for tea and biscuits in Delve.

Since it's here lol, ya it blows but TBH the whole AT blows now...

90% of it is looking at some stupid ass cam.

The new overview sucks... the commenters suck (also who the hell wants to see those fail guys? Waste of screen space)

The ads were always cutting off the last few secs of those tards talking too it was lol.


Best part was the "my client is a mess I'm just watching the stream" LOL.

I usually just turn the sound off anyway and talk with people on mumble about what's going on.

It wouldn't be so bad if they:

1. Watched the match.
2. Commented on the match (the amoount of times they said something like, "I didn't even see him die")
3. Have some knowledge of eve
4. Paticiated in the tournement before (Even Kil2 was missing stuff constantly as if he'd just woken up and he's been doing this **** for years.)
5. Read the rules.

It's a joke.

There are a lot of things that I dislike about the way this AT is going from a technical standpoint as well as my view on the commentary.

Numerous times the new hosting service has interrupted my watching of a match to show me an advert. Only to return and see I missed the end of the match.

It just seems like this year is a huge downgrade so to speak when compared to prior years Alliance Tournaments.

i stated, very clearly, the commentary was amateur, not the commentators. they might be pro at eve, but they need to work on how they present fights to the viewing audience. there is a difference. i'm sorry you weren't able to pick up on that.
