Just this sec finished battlefield 3. Bought it yesterday and started this morning. And the only thing I thought as the end ecredits rolled was "Really???" that is what the hype is all about? So far the first bad company is the only good one out of the three. The second one weren't too bad. But I thought of this game like I thought of the film expandables. Just making up Or running out of reasons to shoot each other now. I really liked the first bad company, it had class, it had style, is was funny and you got to relate to the characters. I'm sorry but battlefield 3 gets the thumbs down for me. Good graphics yes and I do love the frostbite2 engin. But give me a story I can get into please rather than something that's been used too often already.

The BF series is multiplayer, the single player thing was added on for the CoD tards

Also you'd know that if you'd played the other games

Wait you bought BF3 for the single player? You realise that it is built around the multiplayer aspect and the single player is just there as a filler right? All battlefield games before bad company were multiplayer only. They had no single player at all!

The point of the game is multiplayer

I was going to say much the same thing. COD is where you want to go for a storyline whereas most of the BF's don't even have a storyline and are strictly centered around large map multiplayer sessions. They also seem to have a far better handle on hacks than COD does which makes the multiplayer more enticing.

So...

COD - singleplayer
BF - multiplayer

Never played COD. I was a bf fan from the start. But it is kinda taking the p this. I bought the bf3 game but the online pass won't work. The story line game is all I got. I paid good money for the game. Why should I have to pay extra to play multiplayer.

I'm confused on what you mean buy your "Online Pass didn't work" and to have to "play extra to play Online".. =\
I bought the Game, installed it, and was able to play Offline and Online. You're missing out though, Multiplayer is Awesome Fun!!!

Since gaming companies are being even more of a Greedy Bastard(Dont even get me started on the absolute trash that sells for $60 now, like Diablo3), they are making you unable to buy used games. They did this by mandating a pass if the game is registered on more than one pc/xbox/360 and the pass is 10-20 dollars to access the mutiplayer, essentially voiding the money you saved buying it used.

CoD has a storyline? I thought the whole point was to play mutiplayer and run around with a bunch of 10 year olds that were way better than you.

Because the two BC games were nothing more than console ports that they tested their new builds on. The last proper BF game was 2142 which came out in 2006
