Hey ya'll. Most of the fleets I have been in have been armor fleets, and I was looking for some input on the Rohk fitted with an armor tank?

I was thinking something like

[Rokh, Armor]
Power Diagnostic System II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II

Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range Script
Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
100MN MicroWarpdrive II
ECCM - Gravimetric II

425mm Railgun II, Spike L
425mm Railgun II, Spike L
425mm Railgun II, Spike L
425mm Railgun II, Spike L
425mm Railgun II, Spike L
425mm Railgun II, Spike L
425mm Railgun II, Spike L
425mm Railgun II, Spike L

Large Trimark Armor Pump I

The purpose of this ship would be to engage in medium to long range engagements with logi support.

Any tips?

if you have logi support you're better tanking resists, then each hp they repair counts for more actual hp.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

Please Note: Any advice given comes with the caveat that nothing will be suitable for every situation.

Do't use Rokhs for armour fleets. Fly a support ship or something instead.

But if you must, then fit your lows to give yourself a ghost of a chance;

DCU II
1600mm RT
EANM II
EANM II
Explosive Hardener II

3x Trimarks

But your DPS will be miserable.

Three plates make your logis cry. Resists and one or two plates are what you should fit. That being said Caldari is unique in not having a ship capable of armor tanking. Minmatar can. Conversely Amarr is unique in not having a ship capable of shield tanking for fleet actions.

This is yet another reason why every charcter should have two races of ships trained.

Apocalypse Navy Issue can tank shield. Really well.

The only one I would call a decent shield tank is the Curse. The rest are rather flimsy. A shield Navy Apoc is fine for incursions. I would not want to take a flimsy shield tank on it into a large fleet fight. It would be an expensive loss.

The OP is posting what appears to be an attempt to fit into a large fleet that is armor based. He simply won't be able to create the same buffer a ship with 7 or 8 lowslots will unless he totally foregos damage mods. Malcanis created the best tank he could for him. Rgeardless, the op's fit relying on 3 1600s and one omni-resist mod was not going to keep him alive very long, and would make his logi pilots sad. It still contains a huge explosive hole. He will end up with putrid brown stain in his pod.P

Of course, you shouldn't fly this in large fleet fights, but for example the shield fitted zealot is an excellent nanoship.
