Holy Bubbles!, Looks like the war in delve is drawing attention from the outside like kotaku and pc gamer

http://kotaku.com/5922546/horde-your-isk-and-dock-your-ships-eve-players-are-going-to-war-like-never-before

http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/06/29/eve-online-livestream-the-war-in-delve/

Which is quite good news might get more people interested in eve and what not =)

Seems there's less chestbeating, monkeys are being educated and now understand a few words like "you can't stop it" or "Yes we can"

After reading all that there seems to be two people in this world.

People who haven't played EVE before and can't really accurately explain it.

Some guy responded to another on how it looks boring, talking about the reporter on PC Gamer

Quote:
I think he is making it boring. Not to mention that he keeps bringing it up "sorry it's boring".

If he actually researched who was fighting and what corps are what and "reported" to us what was going on it would probably be more interested. Instead he just sits there looking at the pretty lights confused.

So...it's alot like NASCAR huh? If people knew who the drivers were it might seem more interesting than a herd of rednecks making left turns for four hours?

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

You don't know how these things work, huh? It's called Marketing. CCP send an article to PC Gamer (or whatever), or ask them if they want to do an article about it and give them the required info.

We do this at work all the time (trying to get magazines and journals interested in our stuffs).

Okay mate, the OCD clinic is down the street. Bye.

"We will create the introduction thread if that is requested by the community. Also, we will have an ISD Seminar about the CCL team in the coming weeks in which you can ask your questions about the CCL team and provide some constructive feedback to us." - Countless pages of locked threads and numerous permabanned accounts later, change is coming.

Is that Kotaku link actually "horde-your-isk"? What kind of illiterate fucks do these people hire to do their writing?

E: looks like an editor got to the article but the URL stands as a reminder.

I wouldn't want to try explaining spergin to -normal- people what the difference between a grid, a system, a constellation and a region are. I can just see their eyes glassing over. Judging me.

People read computer magazines? I thought that died off after the 386-486-Amiga500 days. Since then we had internet, pretty much waste of time to read late reviews when you have instant access to whatever information you seek. This been going on for decades now, someone been living in a cave? P

I got to admit it was pretty sweet to get those free demos for the A500 back then tho, always felt a bit like mini-xmas, and having to wait several weeks for a puzzle solution in some adventure game you were stuck in.. nothing like the buy-gears-of-war-and-complete-it-in-an-evening we have today. What?
