CCP, why can't I dye my Veldspar purple?

I just don't understand it. With the techonology available to you today, why am I being unreasonably restricted to only owning one color of the most popular ore in the universe? ( Just ask Chribba, he'll tell you how popular it is ).

I think it's a horrible injustice, and surely you can see how important this kind of feature is to attracting and maintaining new paying customers.

Please introduce ore color customization asap.

Dying your ore a different color reduces the mineral's efficiency so that it becomes less suitable as a basic building material when refined due to imperfections in the ore as a result of coloring it. Hope that helps.

this thread sits somewhere between the barrel-roll thread and the recent "drakes are slow" thread. I like.

anywho, if we are allowed to die our veldspar purple, why not other colors? and why not other ore? It could give poor SOBs the ability to paint entire belts to look like stellar rainbows.

Certainly would make mining more festive
