As Phad Bertha said pause your skill training.

I had the same issue and once reading that, paused and it went straight through.

This issue is known and has been for some time now. We are working to fix this as soon as possible, however I am unable to predict when this will be resolved and a fix implemented. In the mean time here is a check list to make your lives a little easier and hopefully this will help you initiating the character transfer.

If the payment method is not a suspect, you can use the following list to check if your character transfer should be going through.

The most common issues are as follows:

1. Is your character in a player corporation?
Issue:
Characters must be in a NPC corporation if they are to be eligible for character transfer. Remove your character from the corporation and if your character has to drop roles, removing your character from the player corporation will take 24 hours.

2. Is your character 14 days old?
Issue:
Characters younger than 14 days cannot be transferred between accounts.

I am a solo player wanting to be sold with over 39,600,000 SP Open my bio for Certificates. I want what is a fair offer for a toon from November 5th 2009 thanks thats 2.5 yrs old a good pilot with access to all 4 secs of space, So i would like him to have a good home now how to send the Isk to the other account if thats how its done make bids and i will honor what is good Peace all o7

3. Is either of the accounts involved in the transfer of a character to or from a trial account?
Issue:
Characters cannot be traded to or from trial accounts, they can only be transferred between two full accounts.

4. Are both accounts active?
Issue:
Both accounts must be active when the transfer is initiated. If the account the character is being transferred from expires while the transfer is taking place, the transfer can still be completed.

5. Do you have the PLEX for the character transfer in the redeeming system on your account?
Issue:
The 2x PLEX (if you intend to pay for the transfer with PLEX) should be in the redeeming system on your account. To reverse redeem a PLEX, right click on it and choose "reverse redeem". This will then place the PLEX in the redeeming system on your account and usable for character transfer.

6. Are you logged into the character to be transferred, on your client?
Issue:
Due to technical reasons, if you try to transfer a character you are logged into on the client, the character transfer will fail. Logging out of the client should solve this.

7. Are you using the correct account name for the character transfer?
Issue: Incorrect or non existing account names will stop the transfer from taking place. When transferring the character make sure that you have the account (user) name correct. Contact the owner of the account and make sure that it is the account name but not, for example, a character name you have.

8. How many characters does the account you are transferring the character to have?
Issue: Only 3 characters can be on any one account at any given time. Attempting to transfer additional characters to accounts with all character slots full will result in a failure.

9. Does either of the two accounts involved in the character transfer currently have a ongoing character transfer?
Issue: Accounts can only be involved in one character transfer at a time. If either the sending or the receiving account have a ongoing character transfer, other transfer attempts will fail.

If you have gone through this check list and you are certain you meet all the criteria contact Customer Support and we will be more than ready to assist.

Of course there are additional issues that can cause the character transfer to fail and I will try to add them to the best of my ability and knowledge.

I've tried all these things but none of them are solving my xfer problem. I've even left Jita/paused / re-paused my skill sheet but it's to no avail :(

solved it by removing the skills from training queu completely. everything else before that didnt work

I've tried this multiple times, it doesn't seem to work.

I apologize for the late reply to the thread. The issue at hand is that a change was made to the character transfer system adding a requirement of cancelling skill training before being able to initiate the character transfer. This was due to issues that could occasionally come up if the characters had been training and were transferred between accounts. The fix to this was implemented, but unfortunately the error message does not display correctly, although this should be fixed soon. The solution to this is to cancel the training queue and make sure no skill is in training before initiating the character transfer.

Again I apologize for the late reply to this thread.

If your issue persists beyond this, as always, your best bet is to contact Customer Support.

Is it really that hard to put in an automated training pause? You see this all over the EVE universe, "You must pause skill training to do this", "You must pause skill training to clone jump", "You must pause skill training to use an implant"

Why does the user need to do this if it's only because the system might get upset.

Auto-pause
Do the thing
Auto-restart

^ This is user friendly.

I'm currently trying to transfer this character, I have the 2 plex available and thats not an Issue, Ive stopped the skill training also. Yet I keep getting the error "Account is not active. Hide this message." Both mi account and the account of the buyer are active, what is this issue?
