Important Mining Support Feature - Exportable Audit Logs

Hi guys,

I would like to suggest a simple feature that I believe it's of the utmost importance for collaborative mining and will enable a seamless integration with 3rd party mining management applications.

This feature suggestion covers the possibility to export on demand all types of audit logs, with particular attention to the audit logs of Mining Support Ships, like the Orca or the Rorqal, and also Giant Secure Containers. By exporting these logs from in-game and re-importing them on 3rd party applications it becomes possible to make the mining accountability for all mining operation participants to be very accurate, taking this activity to another level in terms of "backoffice" management. An improved application of this feature should be also to allow to access (read) these logs via EVE Web API.

A few ideas:

* Allow to export audit logs in-game:
** Ships: Orca, Rorqal (all other ships that supports audit logs)
** Giant Secure Containers

** Export formats: CSV or/and XML
** Export date and time selection: enable to select by a date and time interval the portion of the audit logs to export
** Export entry selection: enable to select the audit log entries to export

* Allow to export audit logs via EVE Web API (out-of-game):
** Ships: Orca, Rorqal (all other ships that supports audit logs)
** Giant Secure Containers

** Export formats: XML
** Export date and time selection: enable to select by a date and time interval the portion of the audit logs to export

Finally, although less interesting than the features above and somewhat redundant, it would also be nice to enable an option of showing in-game "Summarized" of Audit Logs. This would enable a user do introduce manually these values on 3rd party applications, with much less effort that with a discriminated Audit Log.

I believe this feature goes in line with the current CCP strategy to reformulate the entire mining ship class and bring a new strategy aspect into the mining career/activity.

Thanks,

Arthur Dee

Thanks mate! Big smile

I hope if the community shows the importance of this feature by supporting and commenting it, CCP will endorse it and implement it for the next expansion release, along with the mining ship overhaul.

It would be very interesting to see the applications that would be developed solely around this feature! I myself am interested in developing a mining backoffice/intelligence utility but I've stumbled against this huge limitation. :)

Cheers,

Arthur

Please keep discussing this subject! ;) It would be nice to see CCP implementing this kind of external integration.
