DayZ - Survival horror against players and zombies. One life, steal, shoot and scavange your way to victory.

Starcraft 2 - Elitist RTS game with intense fights put against people of the same skill level.

Fallout / Fallout new Vegas - Other than the first 2 games, this is probably on my top games of all time (though, I loved cannon fodder back in the day on the ol aimga)/ Post apocalyptic world very similar to skyrim/oblivion

Battlefield 3 - For the graphics, the best looking game I've ever seen. Shame it's full of ejiits and no longer the old BF feel to it but catered towards CoD kiddies.

Deus ex human revolution - Pretty good tbh! I loved the first more back in the older days but this kept me entertained for a little. Like the post apocalyptic stuff, I'm a bit of a sucker for cyberpunk stuff.

Neverwinter nights - When you want a real old school RPG. First 100x better than second though.

Borderlands - First person RPG wtth cellshaded graphics. Pretty cheap to buy and a billion guns. Online co-op also.

Anno 2070 (or the previous 1404 was better imo) is quite interesting and relaxing. One of the build them up god games.

Hello kitty island! Never played it but I heard from my bestestest friends in the whole wide world it's super duper good!

Never played it either but I see it recommended by other EVE Players all over the forum. Especially GD, F&I and C&P.

Must be good.

I recommend
- Minecraft
- Dwarf Fortress
- Project Zomboid

And if you want something with space in it
- Kerbal Space Program

Do you know what's really dumbing down eve? Graphics! If you really want a hardcoregame with a learning curve that even beats eve: Try bay12games.com/dwarves

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic - An immersive high fantasy game played from the first person with an excellent combat system.

Mirror’s Edge - A first-person game that focuses on Parkour movements.

Stranded II - A free indie game about being stranded on an island and trying to survive and eventually escape. A bit like Minecraft (although it predates it).

Hi if you are fan of old dungeon exploring and fantasy games look at this, is a new game based on Old-school dungeons games, just awesome, im very adicted to this game and is very good alternative form other modern games while you are a bit tired or bored of them.

Also this game got very good opinion - rate in most popular paper magazines and online portals.
Other old-school reactivations, Jagged Alliance back in action.

I just finished up Saints Row and now I'm working on Dead Island. Saints was hilariously addicting and it had probably the most epic last fight scene only because this was playing the whole time.

You interested in a puzzle challenge? SpaceChem, hands down.

If you're one of the few who've *not* played Portal 2 yet, give it a shot.

One of my friends has been into 'Ticket to Ride' lately due to a recent discount on Steam. That actually is multiplayer as well, so may be interesting if you like that sort of game (I prefer actually playing real board games instead of online conversions).
