I'll get straight to the point: Minmatar ships no longer appear to be made entirely of iron rust and duct tape. No longer do they appear to be hammered together from random bits of scrap metal, glued together with Elmer's Glue stolen out of the hands of school children. No longer does a Tempest, Thrasher, or a Hurricane look like it's a wreck waiting to be salvaged. No longer will people spend 15 minutes trying to salvage a wreck only to discover it's actually just a Hurricane being flown around by someone else.

When one watches Clear Skies, "in rust we trust" sadly no longer has any meaning.

Minmatar skins, especially on a Hurricane and a Thrasher, look disturbingly similar to Amarr skins. Just compare a Thrasher to a Maller and you'll notice the color difference is quite small.

I loved how Minmatar ships were so reddish, rusty, and falling apart at the seams. Is anyone else troubled by the Minmatar's apparent new-found ability to weld and bolt metal together now, and their mimicking Amarr ship skins?

I like the new look, but it does need more of a rust color over tone. As if the large metal plates that make up the ships had sat planet side to long, thats what I want. For me it makes sense that Minmatar ships are not that junky as there war for freedom was a fair time ago. They should have well made ships, they just should have a little rust on them.

My issue is that instead of correcting the lighting/saturation on the Amarr T2 ships, they increased all the lighting.


Take a nice look at the sunny side of Amarr stations... and bring sun glasses.

Actually after amarr V3 they got more gold on their ships, I didnt like the tech II versions because of the change from red to brown but they are really well made, in fact I like them now... but the tech I skins from minmatar v3 stinks... if you look at minmatar carriers that didnt received the skin and look at the hurricane for example you will see that they lost their aspect the rust... Amarr are know for being gold plated monsters they keept that, the minmatar are know for being full of rusty and duc taped boats they lost it. Looks like they made the tech I paitings in paint brush....
