seriously, do it, plz, just fired a bomb ( 10K Dam ) and a cycle ( 1750 DAM ) on a pod.. f*cking thing just smiled and ran >.<

seriously - without that.. .. K TP.. TP it is, but.. what's your suggestion to counter a drone or frigatte attack?

I'm confused... you hit a pod with a smartbomb, and it lived?

Was it a large smart bomb??

I think the Op is referring to Stealth Bomber bombs and why a single bomb is unable to kill a frigate.

Working as intended. Stealth Bombers are supposed to be very weak against small fast things. Pick and choose your targets next time.

"I fired a bomb and a full volley of torpedoes from my stealth bomber at a pod and the owner simply smiled and flew away.

Atleast I think that's what he's trying to say.

My rebuttal would be there should be some form of weakness to a SB. Why should it be able to attack pretty much every ship class out there while every other ship has to make a decision on what weapon type to mount based on expected opposition.

If you want to use a SB to kill frigs and drones I suggest fitting rockets or SMLs.

Perhaps you don't understand the aspect of signature radius. Missiles are scaled to target a specific ship size. Rockets and Light Missiles are meant for Frigates. Heavy missiles/HAMs are designed for cruisers/BCs. Cruise missiles/Torpedoes are meant for BSes and up. While a Rocket/Light Missile will do full damage to a Battleship, a Battleship-focused missile like a Torpedo will do significantly reduced damage to a Frigate, and even less damage to a Pod (which has an even smaller signature radius). To counter a drone or frigate, you need to use weapons that are scaled for drones and frigates.

EDIT: Sorry Raureve, I meant the OP. Fixed. And to Tore Smith below me, if your comment was about my posting to Raureve, then yeah, I was in the wrong. As for the OP though, he seems to want a T2 frig that can do 10K to every size ship, which is foolish.

dude, he translated the ops rubbish. Read the second part of raureves post and you will see, that he in fact understands.

The role of a Stealth bomber is not a solo role. You need to be paired up with another person to actually make it work to kill a minimally tanked ships. The stealth bomber is focused as an anti blob weapons with weapons designed to take out BS.

You probably would have like the Original SB which you could fit Medium Sized Launchers on it. and it was great at killing smaller ships.

You should be trying to solo BS using an ECM tank or target range dampner.

You may want to choose a different ship though. Destroyers are supposed to be the Frigate killer.

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships
