So I got bored and decided to watch all the Alliance Tourney IX fights and I have a few questions.

1.) What is the role of stealth bombers in these fights? I know they can't cloak, but is bombing actually used?
2.) Why so few Amarr ships? With the exception of Guardians, there are very, very few Amarr ships outside of a few all Amarr set uos.

1) After the initial bombing run they can do decent DPS with their torpedoes and most of them fit sensor dampener to mess with the enemy further
2) Not entirely sure...I would say cause their lasers can be capped out but I have seen good legion and abso teams before

Thanks. I always forgot that Stealth Bombers could shoot torpedos. Just always thought of them as hit and run ships.

All ships are worth a certain amount of points which is loosely based on their size and there's a max amount of points you can bring, so Bombers aren't worth a lot of points but they do pack massive dps meaning you can bring a lot of them. On top of that they can all fit dampeners and the more ships you bring the more damps you have, which ties in perfectly with the "good range, massive dps but no tank" strategy of those bombers. It also means that because you have more of them each ship is less of a deciding factor, so you can lose 1 without being crippled too much.

Amarr ships aren't versatile, lasers aren't versatile. They don't do speed, they might have tracking/range issues, only work with EM/thermal, are obvious neuting targets and their base targeting range and sensor strength isn't the best, that means you commit your whole setup to a certain strategy and you're far more susceptible to being jammed/damped/tracking disrupted. Ideally you want to have a setup that has no weak spots and no easy counters, Amarr isn't that.

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.
