Greetings,

I was just doing some fitting searching and calculations (PyFT and EFT) and doing some Failheap and BC lookups - and on my other PC doing EVE-SISI (and just to note I use the "Old Hangar" for my in station time) and something occurred to me - why did CCP decide on doing thing as stated below:

You have a hangar and you have space - you cannot launch a ship that is improperly fit for PG/CPU so the mechanism is there for other "cannot launch" configurations.

You have a fitting tool, much like the Out Of Game Tools and so you can jumble around with fittings... but why not bring it all together into one place (rather than having to do it to long/complicated way most of us do it today)... which is also simpler.

Have it so that you can buy, assemble and fit anything in the game you have the ISK to buy in your hangar... eg, you have the ISK you can buy that dreadnaught and fittings (provided your in low-sec and it's on the market) or your vagebond and T2 stuff even if you haven't skilled it yet... etc... basically you should be able to tell what I mean here - common sense - anyway, then you would have:

A fitted ship in your hangar, you could look at it, board it play around with the fittings, look at what works and what you need to do to fly it in the game... BUT you hit launch... and it says... "You do not have the proper skills to launch this ship yet" and it doesn't launch you... this to me would be logical and make the game more interesting... you could in a sense have a "dry dock" with your proto-types and your regular fitted ships waiting for the day you pass spaceship driver school...

What do you all think of this idea? and should we ask CCP to implement it? I for one think it would be a better way of doing it.

I weep for the wasted potential of humanity as its members spend their time on trivial, pointless pursuits such as writing this OP and coming up with the absolutely brilliant idea behind it.

Captains quaters before they got jitaburned out of the idea was supposed to feature an ETF type tool.

However currenlty I belive you can import etf fits.

Now for simulations its already explained that eve online cannot support virtualization of its universe, items lose are regarded as a real transaction there is no flag to make it 'temporary' loss and as far the database is concerned no such flag can ever exist.

Now its possible to reverse transactions but that is more of a tool for GMs and Devs not players. It be dangeorus if players had a way to use this tool in an enviorment where bugs are notorious for effecting systems they are not supposed to and a virtual eve being counted when its not so virtual is something alot of people would probably risk getting banned for.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.
