Ive seen CCP say they wanted more ships in the destroyer class, but were lacking roles.
And Ive seen people suggest that 0.0 space needs a way to get around the bubble without needing a T3.

Solution?
A T2 Desroyer class ship that can exclusively use a module which can jump you say.. 1 or 2 lightyears, directly into any system you choose within range, without needing a cyno at all.
It should be a covops destroyer, able to fit covert ops cyno and with that I guess comes the cloak.
Would take fuel to use the module and it would have say, a 10 minute cooldown.

Youl randomly land within 10 AU from the sun, sorta like how the gates work.

This could add some new twists to 0.0 where intel cant catch the guy getting into your system, but youl obviously have local to help you out.

Not saying this module couldnt work for jumping around low/highsec, but I dont see the point of doing that personally.

I dont see why we couldnt have this, maybe have the destroyer able to carry enough fuel for 2 jumps max for balance sake etc.

Thoughts?

You could do the exact same thing with a buzzard, the difference is the buzzard will be visible whatever amount of jumps out.

No one cares about a buzzard though, so if a buzzard lights a cyno and you still have SOV afterwards, then youl also survive something like this.

A buzzard at least has to run past gatecamps on the way in. This thing just jumps right past, it's impossible to keep out, rather than just difficult.
