GOON SCAM - Cleverly disguised as an arbitrage offering

Greetings, Market Discussions!

My name is Lyris Nairn, and I want you to give me some of your space money so that I can give it to some other goons. We'll give it back, I promise.

As my corp mate Kalrand has mentioned in the past—and which I have also mentioned just this past week—there exists a disparity between the rates of interest common in the Market Discussions forum and those available within GoonSwarm Federation member contracts. You may recall that Kalrand ran a successful investment series predicated on this disparity. The goal of that venture, as with the one I am proposing, is to take public money at a relatively low rate of interest and invest it in the offerings available within the Goonswarm Federation member contracts at a relatively high rate of interest. I am prepared to offer the public 5%.

First off, I should let you guys know that I am not an accountant or a market whiz. I don't know a lot of economics-specific jargon, but I do possess a firm command of the English language and will be happy to answer any questions. I am mostly pursuing this project because it allows me to collect a bit of extra income for minimal effort.

Secondly, I should inform you guys who clicked on the thread without reading its title that I am a member of GoonWaffe, the primary corporation of Goonswarm Federation. Goonswarm has a long history of scamming pubbies (people like you!) out of their money. Popular wisdom would tell you that I’m just going to take your money and walk.

So what’s the deal?

I intend to take your money, in 1 billion ISK increments, and invest it in loans that are simply not available to the general public. I will give you 5% of your principal every month, on or about the 11th. This offering will close and the principal will be returned after 3 months. I will maintain a dialog here in this thread or subsequent ones to keep the public aware of how the money is being used similar to how Kalrand did for his bond series.

There will be no audit because submitting my API information would be a breech of sensitive information, and there will be no collateral at this time because I am presently keeping my personal wealth tied up in exactly the sort of investment that I am asking the public for money to continue and expand. I will keep my personal wallet separate from the transactions and funds related to this offering by use of an alt.

If you’re still reading this at this point (which I doubt), then perhaps you are interested in investing. This offering was launched on 11 August and is ongoing. Please post in this thread if you are interested in contributing, or if you have any questions.

I wasn't there (wherever "there" may be) so I wouldn't know; though, I would guess that probably some stupid people got scammed by some goons and that you're being horribly typical and unimaginative.

"Goon2" has requested 2 billion ISK at 15% interest for one month. I have again invested 1 billion of my own wealth into this loan as well as the 1 billion ISK managed by this offering. Unlike the previous loan there has been no collateral secured, though due to the nature of activity funded by this loan that is completely understandable. Will update with any relevant details as they emerge.

The fact that a single person would fall for this scam is absolutely hilarious and makes me want to "reset" the entire human race.
