Removing NPC's from Factional warfare complexes.

So what do people think of this option?

It seems to me that the small scale PvP that factional warfare is meant to provide, is difficult to come by when everyone is in PVE fitted ships...

If someone is offensively plexing in gallente controlled systems they warp off as soon as my ship lands on grid...
Conversly, if I am offensively plexing in caldari controlled systems (where I am forced to use a PvE fitted ship to tank the NPC's) ~
I have no desire to fight using a fail-fit so I warp off as soon as anyone lands on grid...

It feels like this mechanic is stifling the possibilities entailed in factional warfare...

I'm not sure whether removing NPC's from these complexes IS a good idea, but at the moment I can't see any other way around this issue.

At least if they were removed then those of us who are out there looking for a good fight would be meeting when we are both in PvP fitted ships....?

What do you consider a PVE fit?
Ship type and plex size?

If there were no npc's, I'd jump into the smallest, fastest ship I could find, fit stabs and plex away till I got bored.
I'd still warp off whenever anyone got close, so you'd still get no pvp.

In fact, that's what is happening now, because the npc's can't kill those speed tankers either.

Requiring the npc's to be killed would avoid that problem.
There's no reason why pvp fitted ships (of reasonable type and numbers) shouldn't be able to kill the npc's.
So everyone could be pvp fit and we'd all be much happier.

My experience when offensive plexing is limited to running minors using a frigate- this requires me to fit a shield booster, and kinetic amplifiers.
No scram or web.
(Since missiles in caldari complexes can't be purely speed tanked that is.)

As you have said, people do this anyway ~ I do not propose that removing Npc's from the complexes will in Any way reduce the number of people doing this. People who simply want to farm LP can do that anyway and will continue to do so.

However, there are many of us out there that are actually Looking for a good fight... and removing Npc's from complexes would give those of us who want to fight more opportunities to do so.

Of course this is true, but if the only PvP I wanted to do was in large fleets of larger ships, I would join a 0.0 alliance.
I suspect many of the militia members feel the same way, afterall the idea behind factional warfare is supposed to be 'PvP with a lower barrier for entry'...
