Zooming the Camera?

I'm not so much a new player, but more one who has returned after an absense.

I have been watching a few EVE videos on youtube and in quite a few of them, they can magnify in towards the distance. I'm just basically wondering how it can be done

Press and hold the right mouse button, move side ways/up/down to the desired location. While holding the right right button press and hold the left mouse button as well. Move forward/back to zoom.

And holding right click then pressing the left will get the same effect as when he zooms in on the battleship?

Yes but you need to move the camera slightly off center for it to work. You can not just press both buttons at the same time and zoom. If you do that you will get the standard zoom you can do with the mouse wheel.

Lol 4.5 years in game, always wondered where that 'advanced camera' menu was for.
