Im not sure if over the years ive become acustomed and too familiar with pvp, but had a 1v1 earlier today and it was boring, tedious and all in all not what i remember'd it to be. I won before you flame saying "ahhh you losssst pubbiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

I remember my first pvp encounter - being totaly spanked in my drake by a brutix when i was only a couple of months old. That had me going thought all the emotions and even tho i lost terribly it was still fun.

Does anyone else find after a while pvp is just "MeH tm"

Pvp means different things to different people. The most common is the one you illustrate.
To me, pvp is a "must-have" set of skills and mindset in order to survive in Eve. It is not an active part of my gameplay, it just kicks-in if absolutely necessary.

If all you do in Eve is mostly is pvp then yes, I can see why it has become a non-event for you.

In a book I read some decades ago Leo Buscaglia gave the tip, that whenever you're good at something stop doing that and try something else. Followed that tip in rl often and never regretted it until now.

And now for something completely different.

I'm finding the whole game generally boring these days, so no it's not 'just you'

I might log on for an hour or two per week just to change a skill or **** around someplace.

You can't get bored if you have "scholar" spirit (not sure the translation is good but in french we say "érudit")

Maybe you're not that bored about pvp but what mechanics have made of it overtime. It's expandable to all activities in Eve but yep, when you became too good at something then do something else, start a new char and restart doing everything from the scratch is also very fun, you get again those "feelings" you just lost with your ubber skilled toon.

Go rat/mission/mine for a week or so without doing any pvp whatsoever, by the end of it you'll be begging people to kill you.

Come play with me.
Just jumped through a gate to an empty system with 7x EC300 drones on a gate.
At worst EVE is a WTF and a laugh.
