Why security missions are stupid

It's a nightmare for all the mission runners to do misson which conflict the standings for the enemy in each mission.
Im gallente pilot, and at current state I'm almost -5 to caldari, once that happend I wont be travling there anymore.

I'll be limited on where you can fly and cannot fly. After a while pilots get bored of doing mission, after 1 year that person decide to stop doing missions, and cannot fly everywhere because of the standings.

Also the isk making is exstremly bad. How about removing the penalty of standings to the enemy.

Any thoughts?

I haven't been doing it because I'll just use an alt to go to jita, but I'm assuming you know you can skip faction missions at least once every 4 hours? Otherwise you could also take a standings hit if you're good enough, I got 9.8 with my man in Dodixie, how are you?

Also I see your sad confused face everyday in local. I still got a plex contract for 300 mil, just make sure you already got a plex in the hangar or the contract wont' work for some reason...

So close...

No not all of them...DUH.

I myself have great standings with all 4 main empires and I missioned enough that I have jump clone standings with like 5-7 different corporations. You're simply doing it wrong.

seriously - it's not supposed to be (completely) mindless

you have to do some research & figure out what're the best missions to do (hint: it's not about the mission rewards themselves), what're the best corps to do for what rewards...

look up the thread about the faction repair plan, it'll help a lot.

1. Just pick sides. You are anyway already picking sides with an empire against its pirates that you could also get missions from.

2. You can always fly anywhere. What you are restricted from is autopiloting anywhere, and hanging around space in half of highsec. The inconvenience is paid back in the form of other conveniences, like automatically having L4s anywhere in the other half of highsec (as I did after a short stint in FW) and like not having to participate in your 'nightmare' of balancing standings.

There are many different ways for you to fix your own problem. The game was designed this way on purpose to cause exactly the issue you are running into. It is not a mistake that this happens. It is not something CCP needs to fix. It is totally within your own ability to fix your own standings and there and many different ways to do so. Learn them! It is what every other player in the game does.

Please try looking and searching previous postings for a better understanding of game mechanics.


You can always BIOMASS YOURSELF and start over to correct your negative standings.

It's not against the TOS to recycle characters who have negative standings to NPC factions due to mission grinding.

there nothing telling you run faction mission you can turn it down. I have a -9.96 standing to amarr and i know why i love there dog tags. Do you see my crying about it no i have a alt that can fly in amarr space so fix your standings with Cal. start running mission for them but dont run the mission were you have to fight Gal. forces its that easy your standing are your job to fix not ccp's you have known full well what your doing and now your seeing the price of what your doing.

Btw level 4 are easy isk that why so many people run them and made isk to pay for there game time.

I've spent a lot of time being flashy red, being locked out of gallente highsec doesn't really scare me. someday minmatar too, but hey they smell bad (http://community.eveonline.com/background/potw/default.asp?cid=jan04 proof!)

Only a set number of mission hurt your standings, Alas reject them.

Also you can still fly around other space, Faction police are the sugar and spice of NPC law enforcement. Having a crappy - 5.1 standing to every empire would actually make frieghter runs super quick. As the Faction police would web you into warp on every gate.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.
