apoc
8 meta 4 or t2 pulse lasers
4 cap recharger 2s

for the lows use 3 armor hardeners mission specific, 2 large armor reps and the rest heat sink IIs

rigs all cap recharge rigs

cap stable
2 armor reps mean u will be able to tank lots
apoc gets range bonus on pulses, which already have decent tracking.
do missions in amarr space for sansha missions which are usually easy to tank and dps down.
read missions reports, always

So im about to step into a BS in a week or 2 and Will plan on running L4's Solo. Currently trained in pure Amarr so will be running Amarr ships only. Not sure what to go with for PVE stuck between a APOC and a ABAD. would it be smarter to go with a Apoc because its cheaper? or spend the extra cost for more HP? And last for those who say I should go ABAD would your opinion change if I were to get a APOC and then get the Navy version once I have the LP? also any fittings would be greatly appreciated!

First of all congrats on sticking to the true amarr way

My advice is go for a apoc first
why? a apoc is way more new player friendly than the abaddon and a mistake many people made and i made myself aswell when i started this character is that amarr ships are very skill intensive, meaning you need almost all your engineering skills mechanical skills and your relevant gunnery skills to lvl 5 or atleast lvl 4 for some , so go for the apoc fist it is ship that go easy on the new battleship pilots and later when your skills get better get into the abaddon and become the terror and nightmare of every sansha and bloodraider around

there been some good fitting posted above my post so i am not going to repeat that
one more advice try a few lvl 4missions with a friend or a corp mate first to get a feel for them they are a big step forward compared to lvl3 missions and read the eve survival guide before every mission

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

I thinki that pulse much better than beam. Enough rank with more tracking speed and less cap need

If you can use t2 pulse lasers I would agree right away, but without scorch the dps might be too low with pulses. I would just advice to try with both, if your skills are good enough (or the npc's orbit close enough) use pulses, else use beams until you can use t2 pulses.

Without Scorch, the DPS might be to low huh? You know that Multifreq gets more DPS than Scorch, right? The advantage of Scorch is range, not DPS. Secondly, pulses do more DPS than beams, but beams have more range. Nothing about this post makes sense. Lrn2Amarr.

Pulse + INMF ammo DPS is about 0 at relevant ranges Roll

Total DPS in the mission is affected by the time you spend casually drifting into range of things, which is not negligible in a BS. It's not like you're in a Slicer flying towards things at 1200-1300 M/s. Tachyons are very comparable to Pulses damage-wise because there's just no equivalent tier of pulse lasers.

my pre-t2-abaddon:

8 meta4 pulse laser
4 cap recharger
1 large armor repairer
3 hardeners
2-3 heatsinks
0-1 tracking enhancer
3 CCC rigs
and cc4+cr4 implants for more cap stability...

for big missions, like Sansha Recon Level 4 Part 1, which i dont blitz, i use this tank:

2 large armor repairer
4 hardeners
1 capacitor power relay

can tank above 1000 dps with it...

when using t2 pulse lasers, i changed one T1 CCC to T2 CCC and all cap modifiing skills to 5...

its big
its slow
its not hitting hard
but it is going and going and going and going

i hate warping out... stability is superior...

wouldnt use beam lasers unless you can dictate the range... veeery bad tracking speed... never use that against angels, you cant hit them when their BS are orbiting you at 5km...

Aim for an Apocalypse at first as it is considerabley cheaper than an Abaddon and it is a good starter ship. The Apocalypse has good capacitor and a range bonus which will allow you to pop your enemies before they get to you considering that your skills are good.

But do try to move onto an Abaddon if possible, it has superior damage and tanking capabilities.

[Apocalypse - Level 4s]

8x Mega Modulated Pulse Energy Beam (move to T2 as soon as possible)

3x Cap Recharger II
1x Tracking Computer II (complimentary, if your skills aren't good then use a 4th recharger)

3x Mission Specific Hardener II
3x Heat Sink II
1x Large Armor Repairer II

2x Capacitor Control Circuit
1x Auxiliary Nano Pump

5x Hobgoblin II
5x Hammerhead II
