Lighting is really nice. The portrait is set up kinda conservatively (framing-wise), but not in a bad way. The shoulder and head angles freshen it up a little without looking unnatural as some stretching exercises you see in some other portraits.
It's a good avatar, but somehow it's missing the "omg so awesome"-spark.

I love the character, but in my opinion there is too much neck visible. It's probably just an illusion but the result makes the feeling of something quite unatural.

I also note that a lot of people loves to look on the side obviously ! 8/10

Funny resemblances aside, your character shows of determination. The somehow plain face traits make it look very natural and the setting of pose and background makes it look like a sort of propaganda picture. An interesting portrait without thrills so will give it a7.5/10.

It's a nice try but it doesn't works, the angle is wrong, framing is so-so and specially the shadows on the shoulder are awful. If you can't get rid of them rotating the model or tinkering with lighting types, you may try and use a jacket, they work wonders on the awful shoulder shadows. Will give it a 6/10 but has potential.

I love the hair and expression, framing and lighting are nice, too. Clothes and background having such similar colors, at least when looking at your shoulder, could be improved maybe, not sure.
The face is pretty. Something seems a little odd, but I can't put my finger on it, and it's just a minor impression anyway.
