An Indy pilot is not just someone who flys a hauler.

An Indy pilot is just a general term for a Industrial pilot. ie miner, hauler, PI, manufacturing, research...

FC, what do?

Indy pilot is an industrialist. So someone who mines / builds stuff.

An "Indy pilot" is an Industrial pilot. By this they mean a character who focuses on Science and Industry skills - mining, manufacturing, research, etc.

An "Indy" is an Industrial ship, which hauls things.

Minmatar are minnie pilots.

Indy pilots are pilots that mine and build stuff, and haul stuff. Non-combat stuff.

I'm an indy pilot, so is my shadow alt that follows me around almost everywhere, though I personally label myself an "industrialist".

I can pilot all races of ships and do combat too, as any good industrialist needs to be able to put up a defense.

I propose that “Indy pilot” is also used for independent pilots who didn’t join any player corp :)

You can propose and I disagree with it.

Players who stay in NPC corps are not independent, they are mainly there cause that way they can't be war-dec'd and can negate PvP as much as they can.
