Working to get storyline missions

I got i 1 of 5 mission and did not know if that would count as 5 missions to the 16 you need for a storyline or just 1?

Each time you accept and complete a mission it counts as one mission, even if it is a multi-mission arc. In fact, you can get a Storyline in the middle of running your multi-mission arc.

Another question as this reminds me of it, if I decline a mission after doing 10 missions do I need to do another 6 or start again at 1 and do 16?

Declining or failing does not reset your count. I decline missions all the time.

Me and you do it for completely opposite reasons, if I kill 1 more ammar ship I will start having them chase me again. Last time I ended up buying their whole fleet donutes to get off my back. I may have enjoyed killing them but there are only soo many missiles a lone nighthawk can carry.
