Found two unstable wormholes last night

Hi all,

I was doing a little exploring last night and found two unstable wormholes, I passed through them and ended up in unclaimable space.

What should I do now?

Both ended up in -1.0 space, with no stargates to escape from should the wormholes close.

Please help.

That is how wormholes are supposed to be.
And they are not the best place to start some solo adventures...especially without someone to probe you out.

My suggestion is... read some guides that you can find in the internet about wormholes, there are plenty of them.
Even the eve wiki is not that bad. Give it a shot

A good place to start your reading......would be the second sticky in this forum.

BTW, all Unknown space with a Jxxxxxx is -1.0, so be prepared. If the wormhole you entered from disappears, be prepared to scan for another wormhole. Each w-space system will have at least one wormhole connecting.....somewhere.

How am I trolling????

The first wormhole was in Henebene, a 0.8 system, and the other was in Grinacanne, which I think is a 0.9 system.

Your welcome to have them if you want, free of charge.

Any way, how would I claim a system for myself?

in case you are really not trolling, here is something you should know:
1. wormholes are very common.
2. the systems on the other side are usually inhabited by unfriendly individuals.
3. wormholes usually disappear after 24 hours or less.

as you can see, there is no inherent value in your findings and you should not be surprised that you are taken for a forum troll.

I should buy an Ishtar.

If not a troll then just know that there are Wormholes and W-space. Wormholes are gates or portals if you will between various systems. W-Space is an isolated and "unexplored" portion of eve universe that is connected only by wormholes. W-Space can be connected to K-Space (Known space) through Wormholes. That is what you found, you found naturally occurring portals (wormholes) that lead you to W-Space. All W-Space systems are -1.0 security and CANNOT be officially claimed. They can and usually are inhabited and people will try to kill you if they see you around.

Buy and set up a territorial claim unit in the wormhole, then everyone will know it belongs to you and they will exit your system.

also set up a POS and build a dreadnaught so they know you're serious business.

Roll Everyone has a dread. If you want to look truly established, you need a mining fleet with a rorqual deployed in a grav site. Wormhole mining is only for the truly stout.

Obvious troll is obvious.

If the op knows how to scan in to wormholes he sure knows to drop probes and scan his way out.
