Eh is this market manupilation or CCP who adjusted the drop rate of mining links over other t2 links.
I say the first, its been awhail now that the amount of mindlinks is decreasing rapidly, while the amount of buy orders fullfilled is higher then the amount of sell orders.

Someone is buying them all up and stocking them for some reason, i would not be surprised if certain null sec alliance does this to **** with the market.

Maybe its time for CCP to **** with them and make t2 mindlinks npc provided.

There is one specific level 4 storyline mission that has it as a reward. That is the ONLY way this implant enters the game. Given the wide variety of possible storyline missions, combined with the inability to sway the odds in your favor to receive the desired one...combined with the fact that a storyline only shows up once every 16 normal missions and you've got a very tight supply on this implant.

Even mass-grinding level 4 missions is no guarantee that you'll receive this implant.

I can't speak to market manipulation or not, but my guess is that either an unlucky streak has slowed the rate of these implants, or there was a burst of demand for them by miners. If the supply on a market is really low, it is certainly reasonable that a person with deep pockets could buy all of them and relist for higher. Chances are, they might have the best price in the market for awhile before a new module drops for someone else and they undercut them.

In the cat-and-mouse game that is low sec, there is no shame in learning to be a better mouse.

Miners have recently *doubled* around where I live. Might explain something.

IIRC, I saw a forum posting asking about this a while back and the answer was:
The prices went up after they added a fair number of level 4 storyline missions.

To my knowledge, another source has never been confirmed, let alone widely confirmed.

They were rumored to have dropped in COSMOS missions and various nulsec stuff (like drug labs), at least "once upon a time", but even if that ever happened it must have been so rare as to prevent confirmation.

Shipyard Theft seems to be the most significant source.
