Selling price went up or I messed up?

Have been selling Tritanium for 5.85isk for a while now.
This morning I saw that my last batch of Tritanium sold for 6.23isk, but I'm quite certain I posted it at my usual price.

Did I just get lucky and screw up the sale price or is there a way your selling price can increase somehow?

Thanks.

If there was another sell order at the higher price, and someone tried to buy from it (for whatever reason), they'd get yours, but you'd get the higher price.

Hi Mefune Akira

If another player purchases your items, and specifies a higher price (By selecting a more expensive sell order for instance), the trade will always go to the seller at the specified station, who had the best offer. The amount of ISK, however, will still be the one the buyer agreed on paying.

Basically, you just got free ISK from a player who didn't bother sorting his market list properly before buying, or for some reason offered a better price, than you asked for.

Makes perfect sense.
Thank you both.

I've done this, myself. Lets say I'm looking for 50 of Item X. There are 10 sell orders for 1-2 items apiece, and one sell order for 200. The smaller sell orders are cheaper (usually only by an ISK or two), but I'm lazy, and don't want to manually buy each order to save 1-2 ISK. I'll just click on the sell order with 200 and buy 50. What happens is that I buy out all the lower priced orders at the higher price, along with however many of the higher priced sell order completes the 50. I get 50 items, at the higher price, while each of the lower priced sellers gets paid as if they sold at the higher price.

Obviously, I won't do this if there is a significant difference in prices, but if it's a few ISK, I don't care.
