So far I can't seem to find any Dev report about this delay other than this message posted on the log in screen;

EVE Online: Inferno 1.1 release delayed
reported by: CCP Navigator | 2012-06-18T02:40:00Z

Following testing work over the past weekend for EVE Online: Inferno 1.1, we became aware of issues which would have resulted in a less than optimal game experience for our players. These issues are mostly fallout from code cleanup work we've been working on for the past weeks and caused specific models not to render. We apologize for the lateness of this discovery, this is the unfortunate, but inevitable, cost of continuous development and our constant commitment to improving EVE.

As a result our teams will continue working to resolve these issues so that we can bring you all the features, fixes and changes listed in our patch notes at the earliest possible opportunity. We don't expect the delay to last long, but we'd rather be safe than sorry and will announce a new deployment time when we've fixed the issues encountered

So is it and do we have an idea how long (for skill queues and PI expire times etc)?

Thanks for that, I'm not a Facebook fan so don't access it.

Would be nice if someone posted something official on the forum Blink

Yep thats the same as the text on the log in page but how many who read the forums also read the news?

And why is the official 1.1 thread in the Information Portal not updated with either that link or a copy/paste of the text?

There they go again, doing the right thing.

Sloppy workmanship would have been letting those bugs hit TQ... unless it's more missing clothing bugs, which I'd be all for.

No. You noticed is as I did, along with untold others.

The announcement did its job and they even may make a thread about it some time soon when they have more details; and not because you cried about it.

Uhm yes.

So there's this official message about the patch being delayed,
but a random guy refuses to acknowledge the obvious and asks for clarification ...

This is shocking news. Why didn't CCP delay their release of Inferno 1.0 when it was pointed out the Inventory UI changes provided a sub-optimal user experience?

My grandson is on the facebooks and I got to say that I just dont trust somethin like that. Its the goverments way of keeping track of where you are at all times. Thats what Jim down the street told me and I have to say he seems like the kind of guy would would tell me the truth cause he helped me scare the squirrels away last week when they were invading my bird feeders over and over. He had this really good idea you see... which reminds me of a time when I was a kid and I had this idear to make my mom a bird house for her birthday. You have got to think about the times and how hard things were back then. You had to work fer a week to earn a dollar. It was hard times I tell ya. Hard times...

The news item makes it sound like CCP is unsure how long it will take to fix the bugs. I would expect a day's notice once CCP get it under control.

My guess is it was new ship textures that were broken.

Because it 'worked'. (yes I still hate it). Whatever the problem is must truly be breaking the game to the point that there isn't a workaround. Otherwise, they wouldn't bother to wait.
