High-Sec Gankers provide the excitement I have been missing.

OK, I know that I am going to get totaly flamed for this, but it is the truth...

High Sec Gankers add excitement back in the game. Although I feel badly for anyone who looses their mining ship/fleet, I really like the excitement and risk of a potential ganker attack. Even though I am in HighSec, my fleet plays as if I was sitting in a Wormhole with the benifit of a LOCAL indicator. :) Life does not get any easier than that. Watch local, D-Scan, Count the ships and players... Play the Game!

Out of the attacks over the past two months, I have never lost a ship, and I have picked up a bunch KillMails from my Alt-Hulks. Being killed by a Hulk has to be the worst for anyone, so I love to post them instantly. :) I guess I am evil that way.

Even though I really was kinda pissed at what was going on at first, my mind started looking at it in a whole new light. and it HIT ME! I was having a lot of fun again... :)

God I love this game... Just the way it is. A real Sandbox.

It is so unfair that high sec players can be ganked.
Some want the PvP aspect of eve I prefer the spaceville aspect.
The 2 should be kept apart and fighting should be by consent only unless in low sec.

I know how you are thinking and understand that kind of playstyle. EvE is the most "Real Life" feeling game I have ever played. Where else can you find someone like Spaceship Barbie who is as constant as the Northern Star. It is always a pleasure watching her run her scams. Sure wa all know what she is up to, and you have to laugh at the people who fall for the scan, but they do learn from it.

Even in a real world full of police and armies, there is still crime and punishment. If EvE wants to make you feel like you were actually there, the rules of a real civilation need to apply here. You attack someone in High Sec, you will get blown up. Crime and punishment in action. Leave your laptop in the passenger seat of your car sometime. You will come back to broken glass and a missing notebook. Fail to pay attent to who and what is in your system while your are mining, and you offer yourself as a prime target and a great chance for a successful hit. Just watch local and keep hitting your D-Scan.

Have some fun with it and play the game.

@ Arcturus,
What I posted was rather tongue in cheek but having said that is quite valid.
Not every player wants to be involved in PvP. Not every player finds enjoyment from ruining someone elses day.
I tried it once and the guy got really upset before I killed him so I stopped. I felt that bad I logged and couldn't play again for a couple of days.
In 3 years and 6 accounts I only ever killed one other player and that was because he was scramming me while his 2 buddys killed my Drake while I was running a level 5
I was fitted for missions while the Mach and the Legion were fitted for ganking.
GF he typed, I replied GF, but my GF didnt stand for"Good Fight" it stood for "Get ******"

Eve is a personal thing and my main is as much a part of me as any thing. It is a reflection of myself and my morality.
If anyone asked me to PvP with them, I would as long as there are no hard feelings afterwards.
We all have our own gamestyles and our own code of ethics.

I think the one big thing that has always bugged me, suicide ganking messes with the Eve back story. What organization would let you destroy all that equipment and kill all their personal? Plus, what crew would sign up to head out with a captain who only seems to murder his crew?

You know, if you lacked that excitement from being blown up, you could have just gone to low-sec. Or even better, W-space. Not waiting until excitement finds you.

I got ganked in Jita once. Frankly it was hilarious. First it startled the crap out of me. Second for a few seconds, I was in complete denial. But then I thought, "that was exciting and unexpected".

I lost 1.6 Billion ISK in 3 Faction mods that the ganker couldn't even grab because the single most expensive one was destroyed. I promptly docked back up tp 4-4, re-bought the same items, hopped into a Cormorant and went home... (Really crapping myself the second time)...

Fun times...

These guys.

Every Goon ship probably has a screaming preacher on it telling a bunch of brainwashed ten-year olds that they will go to heaven and sit on the right hand of The Mittani if they die blowing up a mining barge.

YOU create your own excitement in this game. It's player-driven, remember? If you wait for others to do it for you, you might as well play by yourself.
