Been inactive for long and logged back in and found i could not spin my spin in the hanger. have i meesed up a graphics setting or has ccp removed the great time sponge of spinning ship in hanger

Sounds like you are still in the Craptains Quarters. In the upper right area should be a button to go to the hangar, there you can spin your ship all you want. (There is even a counter if you do it enough).

If you don't see the "go to hangar" button, esc to options and check "load station environment". It will put you in Captain's Quarters and from there you can enter the hangar and spin away.

Make sure you don't ahve station environments disabled and then click on the Go To Hangar button.
